The Ramp - Menu

Had dinner at the hotel. Described some issues with «creditcard» payments but in reality they could not take any catds whatsoever. What kind of Mickey Mouse Restaurant do not accept card payment?

I was alone on a business trip, and had a hard time getting the attention to get anything even though they were not busy and seemed to have many staff not doing much a seat, my order taken, my bill. The food itself was...good simple menu.

Not much more to say really. After being briefly acknowledged when we first arrived, it appeared as though we had simply disappeared from view as all the staff just kept walking around us. So very disappointing after a great all-round experience at Holliday Inn Dundee. View menu

Ate twice at the Ramp restaurant which is located in the Holiday Inn in Frankfurt (airport). We ate there twice (since the Meininger has no diner) and all the food was good, but high priced. The two meals consisted of salads, club sandwich to burgers...and all were good. It has a full bar if you want a drink and the staff were very nice and spoke english. Our last meal there, the waiter put ice in my coke which was a nice thing since for two weeks I haven’t seen a cube of ice.

We were presented with a much more simple menu than on their webside no steaks or pizzas), so you are actually driven to just go for the burger or buffet... : The buffet is nicely presented, but with a very simple selection, of mainly salat,...fish, 2 selections of dry pasta even at 19:00), one kind of meat dry schnitzel), ok taste, but a dissapointment compared to the expectations and the price. The salat bar itself was fine, but the food is like a simple hotel lunch menu and the deserts the same way; nice presentation, but boring/cheap cacao mouse, not chocolade mouse etc). Due to the hotel I was staying in nearby for did not have any evening dining, I visited The Ramp Restaurant during my 2 night stay in Frankfurt. Unfortunately, the first night was not a good experience as the wait to order the food took...a long time as staff didn't seem to even realise I was there. After eventually asking a waiter if I could order, it then took just over an hour to arrive. That was after asking the same member of staff several times if it was ready, as it was a simple tortellini dish. The meal itself was not too bad, but not worth the wait. I'm staying at a hotel nearby which doesn't have a restaurant of its own. As this is day 1 of a week long roadtrip in Germany we wanted some good food to fill us up and prepare us for our adventures. I am delighted to...say we found it at the RAMP restaurant. I always feel funny about going into a competitors of the hotel I'm staying at, but the desk were quick to welcome us and they were polite. The restaurant is clean, modern, well lit and has lots of space. We were greated at our table within minutes by a helpful waitress and after placing an order we didn't have to wait too long for the food. It was the day of the World Cup final and who could have guessed that people would want to eat something on that day? The Ramp is a restaurant located in the Holiday Inn in the former US military part of Rhein-Main-airbase. Waiters in green...and waiters in black and white worked there. The ones in green basically ignored us, the ones in white where friendly, but incompetent, bad mixture. They either offer à la carte or buffet, but there was nobody available to greet and seat us, that spot was empty, so we asked at the bar, where they told us to just take a seat in the sports bar part, not in the restaurant part, because that was reserved for a larger group.
