I just spent the weekend here, and the food was amazing! The staff were lovely, and my room was huge. I highly recommend this place.

After a walk round the Mere we stopped by this lovely traditional pub with great food and beers on draft. Definitely worth a visit :

Called in for Sunday lunch we had not booked but was able to get a table straight away. Clean and pleasant surroundings. Polite staff and good choice of food which was excellent; we will certainly go there again

Food was amazing, hot and plentiful. Sunday Roast was delicious! Staff were really friendly and very attentive. Love that the pub is dog friendly and welcoming. I'd go back here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

I just had an early evening meal for seven people, and it was fantastic. The kids were well taken care of, and the main dishes were excellent. I often find that restaurants don't serve a true medium-rare steak, but this one was perfect. The service was outstanding, and the beer selection was great. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

Really liked the room, the bed was comfortable, the bedding was soft and warm. Nice fluffy towels. Would recommend bringing your own toiletries though. The food from the main menu was really nice but the kids menu was disappointing and the children hardly ate anything. We did plan on pudding but waited so long we got bored and left before then. In the morning the full English breakfast looks like something that is thoughtfully prepared but things like the pancakes where shop bought which was a shame. The cereal choice was bland and basic. There's a games room in there which the children liked with lots of different things to occupy different tastes. The staff where friendly.

We celebrated a 16th birthday at the Red Lion with dinner this evening, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was expertly cooked, featuring high-quality ingredients and incredible flavors. I started with the loaded potato skins, which were the best I've ever had—crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, topped with grilled cheese and pineapple. For the main course, I had the Woodland chicken with chunky fries. The chicken was flavorful and moist, topped with grilled mushrooms and cheese. It was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable meal, and I would definitely recommend it! View menu
