"I usually don't have time to write online reviews, but The Craighaar Hotel Restaurant definitely deserves one. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food portions were generous, and the menu catered to our dietary needs. The meals were delicious and the restaurant had a lovely interior. Despite some older parts of the hotel, we enjoyed a quiet drink in the cozy lounge bar after dinner. We will definitely be returning!"

The fish and chops are always excellent. Quite quiet which is nice and no horrible background music. Good for business lunch. We were comfortably done in an hour.

Overall dining experience was excellent. Nice touch with the taster and starters were very good indeed, well presented with just the right amount. Fillet steak was prepared just as I asked and very tender. Staff were attentive and friendly and service could not be faulted. Would certainly go back.

I've been to the restaurant at the craigaar 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed it each time! The menu has great choices along with a number of veggie dishes that would make even a carnivore a covert! Me and my Friend enjoyed our meal. Lovely dining area, attentive waiting staff, nice touch of a plate of very tasty bread and butter while waiting for our food. Plenty of choice on the menu. Decided not to have a starter but both enjoyed the main meal which was well cooked, generous portions and very tasty. We then both had desert which was excellent. Overall a very enjoyable visit.

The secluded booth style tables helped to give a feeling of privacy. There was an excellent selection of Fish on the menu. My Halibut and my partners seabas seemed fresh and well presented. The portion size was about right. The cosey bar with wood panelling and central open fireplace would have been a great place to relax after the meal but there was no ambiance as it was surprisingly empty for a weekend evening.
