Delicious cheese and mushroom omelette. Jacket potato was nice too. Love the original decor and the staff were lovely. We were allowed to bring our dog in after checking with other customers.

Came here last time we visited and liked it so much we came bac. Friendly lady providing the service, excellent food and sensible prices. Will definitely be our go to place any time we are in Southend.

Excellent service, our server was friendly and delivered excellent service, the food was so tasty. Hit the spot, fish was fresh, home made chips. Portion size is good and a good price compared to others places in the area. Highly recommended.

We stopped here for a double breakfast and drink. Food was tasty,freshly cooked and hot. Service was friendly and prices were excellent. Seating inside and out, it was a lovely day so we sat outside and watched people go by on the seafront. A little gem well worth a visit

Took the Mrs for awalk along the sea fron t and popped in to the The Rose was greeted by a great waitress named Jen was offered a table and left alone long enough to settle. When Jen took the order it was with a smile even though she'd been rushed of her feet all day. Food was great services was better will return .

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delivered quickly and tasted delicious. The chips were perfect and the price very reasonable. An older establishment with no blearing music or flashing lights or machines. Like going back in time. The restaurant was on the front opposite the pier area. Will definitely return to try the steak.

Just passed this on the hunt for lunch, and the inside was cute and traditional. A yong man seemed to be running the show up front, and he did a great job. Not too busy, but definatley has a good amount of families coming and going. Food was as expected, and definately filled us up with energy for the day! A decent choice and a reliable menu

Ordered a chicken salad . Horrible greasy deep.fried chicken ,salad was past its best ,didn't have coleslaw sachets of salad cream.out of date. Greasy horrible nothing like years ago.avoid !cost a fortune for 4 meals. We couldn't eat . Fish chips burger child's fish greasy overcooked . Was a brilliant cafe years ago very dissapointed wouldn't return

Ordered roast chicken chips peas and tomato.x2 said hold the peas. Food came out roast chicken chips and carrots. Covered in gravy. No tomato. Menu didn't say gravy or carrots. Didn't get a choice. Young lady served us she was extremely polite helpful. Food did come out fast. Didn't kick up a fuss ate what we could paid up and left. Shame about the local drunk that made u feel unwelcome with his foul mouth . If it wasn't for the menu and food being incorrect this would of been a 4 star rating.
