This restaurant is fantastic with excellent service! We enjoyed delicious cocktails and snacks. The ambiance is simply delightful.

Beautiful venue and building, lovely and good staff and service, absolutely fantastic food and drinks. I have been here several times, privately and with work.

Nestled down a side street behind Holborn tube is this lively studenty pub, certainly on a Saturday night. Nice, old wooden interior and good selection of beers on tap.

Last stop on a liquid historical pub crawl. Tour guide recommended food and we were not disappointed. We had the fish and chips. Very guide. Nice atmosphere and the wait staff were very good.

Loved the place, the atmosphere, the food, friendly and helpful customer service. We had the fish chips for our mains and the winter food crumble for desert. Food was genuine and top. And I cannot not mention Pooja our server who was so helpful, attentive and nice to us. Loved The Ship Tavern so much so that we decided to visit again

During our final day in London, we stumbled upon this restaurant for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. We were exploring the John Soane museum nearby and were in need of a meal. The restaurant had the exact look and ambiance we were hoping for, and the food exceeded our expectations. The chicken pie was delicious and the fish and chips were the best we had during our trip, especially after two disappointing meals at other restaurants.

I have over the years always gone to this pub for a drink when I am.in London. The last two weeks I have visited twice. I wish I had asked the Lovely Ladies there names who were working and gave the Pub Lovely warm feeling as though you were so welcome. I will describe you both as you were working together. One young Lady had a very short short haircut and the other Longer dark with Gold Highlights. Thank you both. was the chap who asked for an Amstel that was off and had the Heineken instead. The Oak room upstairs is a quirky and charming restaurant with a lot of character. The menu may be small, but the five different meals we ordered were all excellent. The dishes were well presented and delicious. However, I had a bit of a concern when it came to paying the bill. When I asked to see the bill, a waitress immediately brought over the card machine without showing me the breakdown of the charges. It turned out that we had been overcharged, including being billed for a bottle of wine instead of just a glass, and for a more expensive version of the red wine we had ordered. My wife and I went to the Ship Tavern based on a friend’s recommendation. It is located not far from the British Museum. We arrived on a rainy day with no reservations and we were warmly greeted. We went to the upstairs dining room (Oak Room) which was elegantly simple and made us feel very comfortable. The room was filled with locals having long lunches. It’s a place to spend some time at and just relax and enjoy the place. We both had ciders from the tap and ordered our lunches. The menu is not a typical pub menu.
