"We visited the New Forest for the first time with family and decided to go out for a meal. There were only four people at the bar, but when we asked if we could eat, we were met with a blunt refusal, as we hadn't made a reservation. While I understand the policy, the attitude of the bartender was rude and unnecessary. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this establishment and certainly won't be recommending it to others."

We took a break at the Shoe Inn while driving from Brighton to Salisbury, and it was wonderful. The venue was quite lovely, and they even have their own parking available.

the shoe inn is a hidden jem, wonderful host in sarah andy. the breakfast and the evening meal were the best I ever had and the rooms were clean and well maintained. a really pleasant stay.

The inn has a charming cottage-style atmosphere and features friendly, helpful staff along with a clean room. Unfortunately, our sleep was quite disturbed due to the noise from the busy main road right outside our window. We were frequently awakened by the sounds of speeding cars and trucks.
