"Great rustic pub/restaurant and b&b. Fantastic welcome from the Landlord really comfortable twin bedded room, spotless bathroom and all decorating looked almost new. Bar offered a good range of beers/lagers/cider at reasonable prices. A menu that covered all tastes provided us with a top notch steak, chips and trimmings and an excellent battered fish/chips with accompanying season vegetable. Breakfast was huge offering fresh fruit juice, cereals, and then a magnificent ‘Full English’ platter.... unlimited toast/butter/marmalade/jams to follow... all washed down with as much tea/coffee as we could drink. Will definitely be visiting again. Such helpful staff were a credit to the Owners. Thank you . Davidj"

A lovely evening in our wonderful village pub, the Stags Head is always friendly and cozy. I would recommend this pub.

The restaurant greeted us warmly and provided excellent, attentive service. The food was reasonably priced and my son loved his steak pie. I had the vegan chilli, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and made our dining experience very enjoyable.

We were informed that it was primarily a neighborhood pub, so we didn't have high expectations. However, the service was very welcoming, the beer selection was great, and the steak and ale pie was absolutely delicious, served with generous portions of peas and chips. View menu

After attending a family funeral, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant today. We were greeted warmly and served a tasty, satisfying meal. My husband especially enjoyed the perfectly chilled Guinness and ended up ordering another. This place is a great local pub!

Lovely friendly pub nice basic food. Unfortunately very limited for gluten free with Jacket potatoes or Steak and chips as options. My grandson had a home made lasagne and my husband had chicken curry they both really enjoyed their meals. I had a jacket potato which was ok as good as a JP can be. We did love the pub though, really cosy and welcoming on a miserable night.

We (2) had a break for a week in Wellesbourne. The Stag 's Head landlord, staff and locals were very welcoming, It is a warm perfect local. The beer is good with a wide choice. The food is of a home made variety and is good and tasty. The local opposition , The King 's Head, is attractive but fails to deliver good food. Thanks everone at The Stag especially Bev (who had just come back from holiday) Thanks a million. View menu

This isn 't a five star hotel and it does not pretend to be. It is a 'local ' of which so many are disappering. I spent the night here in a warm and comfortable room. I had a fine home cooked chicken curry and a couple of pints of very good bitter with my dinner. Breakfast in the morning was well cooked and there was lots of it. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. If I 'min the area again, putting up at the Stags Head will be my first choice.

This really is how a pub should be. Went in today (despite living a few miles away have never been in) just for a few pints to celebrate dad's 75th birthday. A friendly welcome, a great range of beers (seven real ales I counted), cosy, buzzy feel and a lovely unpretentious atmosphere. Like there's a dart board. And a fruit machine. This isn't gastro-ville. But it's honest and I love that. A lovely mix of locals supping at the bar and families and other folk enjoying Sunday lunch. There's not many village pubs left like this. And they should be cherished. A gem. Will be coming back for the food.
