Absolutely made up with the stone mill the staff are superb Michelle and Vicki especially!!! If I owned a pub they would be my staff well done ladies you have made my evening thankyou Food was outstanding

Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Great tasting food from a good varied menu. Very reasonable prices. Actually this would be a great place to stop for a break if you were travelling on the m6 as its easy to get to and way better than any service station.

Stopped for a quick lunch with work colleague. Place was quiet, the service was excellent. We ordered 3 lunches and they all come out in reasonable time. No issues with food, very tasty. We can't understand why the place is so quiet as the food and service were very good.

Your establishment was one we both thoroughly enjoyed. Recommendations were made by the barmaid for both of us as regards drinks and a fine choice indeed. The friendliness was genuine but professional and we will certainly be visiting again The food was delicious and uncomfortable with similar places we visited in the Warrington area

Absolutely disgraceful. Came for a little early dinner with my partner and the food was absolutely lovely cooked to perfection, however there was a speaker of music coming from somewhere which the staff was all dancing too while we ate, never felt so awkward In my days of eating out, what has happened to what was a great place to eat Thanks Kathy

The food was delicious, but the service left much to be desired. Despite the pub being virtually empty, four staff members were standing around chatting while my wife and I waited and waited for them to clear our table and bring our desserts. Two of the staff members even made eye contact with me but chose to ignore us and continue their conversation.

The only downside was that the steak and ale dish tasted like it was made with canned meat and the hanging kebabs had too much vegetables and onion and not enough meat. However, the small plates were enjoyable and the lasagne was fabulous. I am only reviewing this evening because the staff went above and beyond to make it special. Overall, the customer service was excellent.

Being hungry after a long work day, I ordered the steak pie my wife had the rump steak, both meals were excellent, it was busy but food came out in a reasonable time, Joe our server was very pleasant and the lady on the bar was very helpful with the drinks order as we were unsure what lagers to order, think she was called Vicky, nice atmosphere and a lovely relaxing couple of hours stress free, will be back soon.

We dined at this restaurant two nights in a row during our weekend getaway. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed a delicious chicken burger, a tasty goats cheese and roasted vegetable flatbread, an amazing ultimate burger, and the largest gammon steak I have ever seen. The entire staff, including our waiter Alan, the women at the bar, and the friendly manager (whose name I unfortunately did not catch), were all wonderful. The portion sizes were generous, the ingredients were clearly treated with care, and we left very satisfied. This restaurant definitely deserves to be more popular!
