The Thatch With Rooms

We only stayed overnight, Landlady (Sammy) let us stay even though they had closed down for the post Xmas period. Lovely rustic rooms in the oldest building in Bottesford.

Lovely meal and evening at the thatch tonight. Thanks Sammy and team. Had a delicious crayfish and smoked salmon starter and turkey pie, veg and chips main. Really yummy. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

We had Sunday lunch, nice roast pork and enjoyed the red cabbage and cauliflower cheese. Bread and butter pudding not so good. The fire was not lit despite it being a cold dark day and it felt a little chilly at our window table.

Sunday lunch for the two of us-very pleased to see there was an option for a smaller portion -as older diners’ have smaller appetites! Also delighted with the option to have a carafe of wine. Very good food nicely presented and good service on a busy Sunday-thank you!

We had a fabulous meal at The Thatch on Friday night. The steak I had was amazing accompanied by a fabulous sauce and lots of lovely extras on the plate. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and the owner was absolutely lovely. Such a brilliant night. Can’t wait to go back!!

The food was amazing and they catered for our table of 6 easily. We were made to feel very welcomed by the owner and her staff. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere and you're looked after as if you were family. The service was brilliant and they couldn't have done more to make it a great evening.

Haven’t visited this establishment for about twenty five years and was reasonably impressed. I went for the meat pie chips and veg which was very nice, as was the desert and starters. Only slight disappointment the coffee served afterwards was not very hot, due I suspect, to the cups not being heated prior to making. Would visit again.

We had a family‘steak night’ meal here with family in late December it was first class! Great welcome, ambience and of course excellent food. All steaks were cooked exactly how we wanted them. We have recommended the Thatch to everyone we know and all who have been agree it’s top notch and our ‘go to’ venue for a guaranteed great meal out. Keep up the good work we will be back!

Visited the Thatch with my wife for an evening meal overnight accommodation. Booked as a result of a recommendation by a friend reviews given by people who have previously visited. The whole experience lived upto expectations. The welcome from Sammy (owner) was welcoming sincere. Food was of a very good standard, service by waitress (Megan) excellent. The accommodation was both good value clean more than adequate for our requirements. Would very much recommend hope to visit again
