"the pub is beautiful, the personal is friendly, dogs are allowed, so don't like. we ordered roast lamb, it was the smallest lunch we had ever had. you get a piece of meat, three kartoffels, a Yorkshire doll, a petersnip, a teaspoon of cauliflower/brukkoli cheese moss and a tiny stripe carrot with gravity! my husbands have still starving, I think they need to be on a few real carrots, an additional disc meat, another kartoffel and a bit more veg. I should take a picture, but I didn't want to show anyone. I would be paid a bit more for a proper dinner, I felt like saying, I think some of my articles are missing on the teller, but did not want to be rude."

Friendly staff at the Three Horseshoes welcomed our large party including children, warmly, accommodated last minute changes to our booking, served a delicious Sunday menu from the preorders we sent, all in a relaxed, stylish environment.

A really lovely afternoon at The Three Horseshoes. We ate from the festive menu and the food was delicious. We went for 2 courses and that was plenty, especially as coffee and a mince pie are included in the price! We also enjoyed the mulled wine :

This is a lovely comfortable pub. The staff are attentive and very polite. The food; we had the set Christmas menu, was delicious. And the mulled wine was a delight, and served in gorgeous glasses. We lingered for longer than we expected just because it was such a lovely experience.

I really think I had the best Sunday roast dinner I had last night. my husband and I both had the same and it was excellent. the bark was good, the veg was perfectly boiled I don't know how the carrots were boiled, but they were delicious and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. there is nothing more to say, my thanks and praise go to the chef and the team. it was really brilliant, thank you. we will be back for more.

Just had a fantastic meal at the shoes My Spanish visitor commented how much better the calamari were than at home. She followed up with Moules in white wine which I have to confess I stole They were succulent and the sauce delicious. I would have had more but sure she would have objected and in any event I had a terrific belly pork to get through. Moist pork, crisp skin, and a side of delicious dauphinois and all at a very reasonable price. Long time since I have eaten here but will be back soon

"December 2021: Glad to be able to visit The Old Orchard at Christmas. They always have a real fire going and mulled wine. Unfortunately, they hadn't started the mulled cider yet but, had a hot toddy; both were wonderful. Well done guy's for offering these. The food , for starters we shared prawn salad, very refreshing. My partner had the chicken and leek pie which was yummy. I had the salmon, which was disappointing, dry and bland, the veggie accomplishment were tasty. January 2020: I really like this place and come here regularly. Looking forward to coming in summer. Having been here many times over the last 4 months, I have to say the menu is limited and boring. Very surprised they haven't thought of changing it or varying it a bit. Also wish they had a few more cosy tables and chairs. Apart from the 1st time we came always get put on a small table for 2 despite asking for a square 4 table and plenty being available. The service could be better, waiters don't write the order down and then forget to bring you drinks. Despite the above I still like this place but, it's these things that is the difference between nice and amazing. December 2019: Came here on Christmas Eve and had a lovely evening. September 2019:Went to The Old Orchard for drinks and dinner on a Friday night. I hadn't booked a table so we had to wait an hour and a half. Which was fine as it was a nice evening we sat outside then had to move in due to it getting a bit chilly. Would have been nice if they had patio heaters, I would have liked to sit outside. Blankets would also be a nice touch. The views are amazing. Food was very good, facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and provided a great service. I will definitely be coming back."
