"A great traditional pub full of character. Our group of 7 (including 2 grandchildren) had a nice reserved table upstairs. A good selection of pub grub (a bit slow in coming but it was Christmas Eve) which we all enjoyed. The real ale selection was interesting and in good condition. The new manager who only arrived that day sought us out to apologise for the delay. We really appeciated his attitude and hope his new post is successful he deserves it."

Lovely homely pub. We had a mixture if meals all lovely however the Turkey Toast dinner was fantastic best roast dinner for a long time.

I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. I would definitely come back and recommend this place. The bar staff was friendly and made me feel welcome.

No table service, needed to order food at the bar downstairs, and then carry drinks yourself upstairs. Food came out cold and had to be returned Burger was the driest I have ever had Seats were wet, probably due to someone leaving wet coats on them prior. View menu

The youthful employees at the bar are consistently welcoming and assistive when it comes to selecting beverages, especially if you're looking for something unique. The service is consistently prompt. The pub is lively and features a large TV screen discreetly placed in a corner, always tuned to the news instead of sports. It's a classic, traditional English pub in a fantastic spot on the charming High Street.

went this pub while there for a birthday bottomless brunch and there were about 20 of us, so a big and rowdy table! We were served by Stuart and Duncan who quite honestly were brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for better waiters. They were very attentive, patient and constantly taking drinks orders they were not stingey here! The food was pretty good as well. Overall a really positive experience, good value for money and would recommend.
