"I had heard great things about this restaurant and my partner had visited before and had a positive experience. So, I decided to take her there for a birthday breakfast on Sunday, October 15th, 2023. When we arrived, we were initially told there were no tables available, but another staff member informed us that there was room in the outdoor tent-like facility. Once we were seated, we were told that we only had the table until 12:30. We didn't mind since we were only having breakfast and it was around 11:15 at that time. However, we waited 25 minutes without anyone taking our drinks order, and noticed that other tables were experiencing similar delays. Our table was dirty and a more experienced staff member was questioning a young waitress about why the tables were not cleaned. The waitress said she didn't have a cloth, so she didn't clean them. We ordered our food and drinks to avoid further waiting as our table was needed at 12:30. We asked for extra bacon and feta with one of the dishes, but it didn't arrive. When we brought this up to the waitress, she seemed confused and walked away without explanation. We had three dishes ordered, all of which were now cold on the table. I spoke to another waitress in the main building and explained the situation. She apologized and said the extras were being cooked. However, when the extras finally arrived, the rest of the meal was cold and inedible. The additional dish of bacon and feta finally came, and the other meals were taken away to be reheated. At the end of the meal, we were told the cost of the extra ingredients would be removed from our bill, but when we checked, we had been charged for everything. The waitress seemed panicked and unsure of what to do when we pointed this out. We ended up paying the total bill and leaving. This experience was disappointing and frustrating. I have worked in hospitality for over 10 years and understand the challenges in the industry. It was clear that the young waitress needed more training and mentoring before being left to manage tables on her own. This experience has deterred me from returning in the future."

Our steak and chicken in our meals were both sightly overcooked...but it didn't spoil the meal ..very lovely..and the waitress came to apologise for our wait as they were busy serving a large table of guests.

I just left the Twisted Tree restaurant after a delicious three-course meal. The tacos were amazing and the chocolate orange chews ale was heavenly. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Thank you, we will definitely be returning.

I enjoyed my lunch here on Tuesday eating was cooked to perfection. the employees are all beautiful and very attentive. I found the drinks on the expensive side, which was a scandal, I think I paid about £5.45 for a bottle of old mout cider. I'll see you sometime.

since the last review visited twice, both paintings to breakfast. large gluten-free breakfast and mango flat cake. I say the flatbreads were beautiful. the breakfast was certainly delicious with perfectly cooked posing eggs. four Americans with warm milk for service ok but not especially, although the place was busy so that the reason could have been. will be back.

After we arrived on Saturday, we could see that this place was busy. After we didn't book, we waited only in the tent area before we sat in the house. coffee was good sandwich was substantially steak cooked and well seasoned, meerrettich was fired I loved it. shop was good to offer many ideas for gifts. the personal was attentive and polite. it's a because I made an evaluation that shows how good this place is, will be safe again.

I made a reservation for Christmas lunch at 1:00 pm but had to wait for my table to be ready. Eventually, I was taken to the Den, which had a good atmosphere. However, I was disappointed to learn that I could only order from the regular menu because I had not pre-ordered my food. Despite booking a Christmas lunch, I was told that someone had called me five days prior to ask for my food order, which I never received. If I wanted Turkey, I would have to wait an additional thirty minutes for it to be cooked, so we decided to stick with the regular menu. The food was delicious as always, but it took two hours to be served two courses. Even though I would have preferred not to leave a tip due to...

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
