"First time visiting the Village Tearoom and we enjoyed our visit. We parked up the road and it looked busy inside but there was plenty of room upstairs when we entered. The staff were really helpful and the service was quick. It's a good menu and I opted for the potato cakes with cheese and ham melt and my wife had the golden vegetable soup. We tried their carrot cake afterwards and had cappuccinos all of which were really good. Worth the trip from Preston."

Had a lovely latte sat outside with our greyhound. Small dogs are welcome, but he does take a lot of room up. Coffee really nice.

My first visit, with friend who loves this little gem of a place. Beautiful homemade mushroom soup, with huge filled sandwich (mine with smoked salmin/cream cheese) on brown bloomer bread. Great efficient/friendly service. Loved it!

We had a party of ten here yesterday. Absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed it and the food was delicious. Staff could not do enough for us. Very friendly and welcoming. Already booked again for December. Can't wait. I wish this place every success

Booked for a small family group. Our table was upstairs in a lovely light room with plenty of space. We all had afternoon teas which was amazing, being served in individual picnic baskets with a shot of soup. The price was reasonable and everything was clean.

It was my 1st visit and it was for lunch with a friend. I had homemade cheese and onion pie with baked beans. It was delicious. I had an Americans coffee. I also bought a jar of blackcurrant jam and a slice of bakewell tart to take home. I would recommend this lovely teashop. Friendly and efficient service

"Have never eaten here, but only ever heard positive feed back. Cousins birthday, I do not live in the area so rang to order some bottles of bubbles for the table. Only writing this as experience was very upsetting and I am still shocked. I spoke with a lady, explained cousin having birthday dinner (I did get name wrong that table was ordered under) so wanted to make sure was correct table. She said I was loud and shouting. I have a loud voice (nodules on voice box). But its also naturally loud as well. I do not raise my voice, it is not my style also my voice loud enough. It doesnt need raising. We finally worked out correct table, I then thought she had gone to get payment machine. But she just hung up. So I called back, another waitress answered. I explained previous call and again asked if I could pay over phone for bottles of bubbles. I was asked to wait a moment whilst she fetched the machine. Whilst I waited I had to listen to what herself and the first waitress were saying about me. Won 't lie, it was very upsetting and I 'm quite a tough cookie. Completely unnecessary and unprofessional as well as hurtful. When she came back on phone I politely told her I heard all their conversation, she went quiet and apologised then asked if still wanted the bubbles. I politely replied 'I don 't think so '. Not sure what to take away from this experience. At least cover phone or put on hold if your going to talk badly about someone who wishes to spend money whom you have never met............"
