"My mum (Jean) and my auntie (Anne) stayed with you for just over a week (27th March 5th April). I'm leaving a review as neither of them are online. They have been singing your praises! Lovely, comfortable, quiet rooms which are well serviced every day. A fantastic breakfast every morning. They love the building itself. They always feel warmly welcomed. Also, the evening meals are excellent. They really don't want to leave! It was a fruitful trip and stay though, as they want to move to Stafford and have found a nice house to rent. So I would imagine, they will be seeing you again soon. Thank you for looking after them so well."

Needing a place to stay after a show I decided to book here. Conveniently located in town and with a nice old feel to it. We waited for some time to be...

Booked a family room to meet up with friends from up North. Stayed over and ate at the pub. Was all great, except that the kitchen was overloaded but they kindly told us it would take a while. Food was ok. Pub cosy. Also a plus: parking on site!

had a nice relaxing stay at this weekend in the vine hotel. had an excellent gammon, chips, ice and ground. two good nights sleep and a great breakfast at the departure. good location right in the center of stafford and I thought a fair price for the room. highly recommended. thanks to all in the hotel. a very friendly old world hotel, that is not a soulless company place, it is full of charming history spirited its head signs, the floor plates clutter as they expect from a place that would old. the location is fantastic a short walk to the city center, shops, pubs restaurants about 10 minutes to walk to the railway station, the vine will my 1st choice every time I visit stafford.

It's some years since we've last visited oh dear. First it was cold inside even sat in a lined gortex coat (stylish eh). Very pleasant young lady gave good service but returned to say gammon not available then informed folks on next table that their choice of pudding had gone the same way. The food was simply bland and boring you can get anywhere which is what we'll do another time.

Called in for breakfast. Pancakes illustrated with berries and cream in a stack. The reality was there were no berries in the building and three dry lumps of dough side by side were deemed pancakes. Had to ask for syrup. Golden Syrup is not maple. Fruit was unavailable as all was in the deep freeze. Had to remind the waiter , who called everyone mate that a croissant was part of the selection. A small steaming lump was eventually delivered with butter but no jam. View menu

I had room 28, up a lot of twisty stairs in this really old hotel. Very comfy bed, large room, adequate bathroom with a bath [hooray] . The floorboards creaked as in a ghost story, but there was no one overhead so I didnt care. Controls to the heating meant the room was perfectly cosy for me. The place was scruffy but bed etc was clean. I didnt use the public loos. Breakfast was plentiful and pleasantly served I liked all the staff. The only possible problem for me was that the parking area is small and poor parking meant it was a bit awkward.

We come here regularly as a family for dinner. Tables can be booked online and they accommodate all tastes and requirements. The staff here are friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. We love this place because of its relaxed atmosphere and the historical vibe that they've captured so well with old photos and original features. The food tonight was exceptional and we were well looked after by Yvette, and Rob the chef cooked us an amazing meal. Great value for money too when dining with 3 teenage boys! Thank you and we will see you again soon .
