"--- **Dining Experience Review** **Meal Type:** Lunch **Price Range:** £40–50 **Food Quality:** 5/5 **Service Quality:** 5/5 **Atmosphere:** 3/5 I enjoyed a delightful lunch at this restaurant. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5 out of 5. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive, matching the food with a rating of 5. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the experience enjoyable. However, the atmosphere was a bit lacking, receiving a 3 out of 5; it could use some enhancements to create a more inviting ambiance. Overall, it was a wonderful meal well worth the price. --- Feel free to let me know if you'd like any further adjustments!"

Lovely place for brunch with the usual baked items cheesecake slices. My hot breakfast was good, but the scrambled eggs a wee bit overdone for my liking. Gluten free toast available. The tea was hot a generous serving. A great place for people to meet gather, we were not rushed on at all the staff very friendly. Highly recommended. Toilets available. Service: Dine in View menu

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
