"We had our Crafty Monkey works party at The White Horse with Adele tribute and it was a fantastic night. The venue looked amazing and really Christmassy and really got us in the festive mood. The pre-ordering was easy and we all got what we had ordered. Staff were friendly and helpful. Adele was great. Only complaint was we struggled to blow up the balloons on our table but it provided us with fun trying! We managed to smuggle Elf in and he had a whale of a time as you can see in the photos! The White Horse have really worked hard during the pandemic to keep everyone safe and their covid measures were good. It's such a great venue with their marquee area. Great owners who are really personable and helpful! Thank you The White Horse and I hope you don't mind we smuggled Elf in!"

Very, very nice place. The staff could not have been nicer. The drinks and food were very good. The character of the inside was as I had hoped; cozy and inviting. The Christmas decor, just adds to the ambience. I definitely recommend a visit or two.

We stopped here one Thursday evening as we were passing through, and I have to say, it was really excellent. The food was very good and on a Thursday you get a free carafe of wine with two main meals, and the wine was pretty decent as well. Highly recommended.

Made a lunch reservation for about 10 of us. The food was good. Nicely decorated marquee. The cocktails were tasty and made well. Would definitely visit again. Reasonably priced. There’s parking in the back too ! Service could be improved, didn’t get the orders 100% correct for a few dishes.

This restaurant has the best food! The Sunday beef roast I had was amazing, and the vegetarian roast was outstanding. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The food was delicious. We found this place by accident, but we will definitely be returning.

Bar staff, waiting staff and manager are super friendly and so helpful but sadly food was not very good, seemed rushed and not much love put into it. BBQ Ribs were very dry with no sauce, pork belly starter was cold and so was the roast. Cocktails were delicious and the barman making he cocktails is great!

Fabulous pub and restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is always prompt. Lovely waiters and bar staff. The management goes out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. They have a large marquee attached to the pub which they often have live bands on, cinema nights and they host weddings.

3 of us and a small dog. We visited last Friday, with a very warm welcome that wasn’t just the fire. The main barman (possibly the landlord) was so proud of the food menu he knew what to suggest he explained how fresh the food was. All of us had a lovely 2 course meal couldn’t fit any more in. It’s a beautiful looking pub friendly staff. Would recommend 100%. Thank you.

This was our first time visiting and we wish we had found this hidden gem sooner. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the setting was lovely. There were singers performing while we were there, which really enhanced the experience. The kids had a blast playing in the garden and on the bouncy castle. This will definitely be our go-to pub from now on.

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening and found it to be a charming old pub with ample parking. However, we had to wait 20 minutes at our table before receiving a menu, and it seemed haphazard who was served first. We both ordered steak, which was tough and came with watery sauces. The mushroom, tomato, and chips were the highlights of the meal. We were overcharged by £22 when paying the bill, as the total was not disclosed beforehand, only presented on the card reader. Luckily, we asked for a receipt and caught the error before leaving. We had to clarify our order to correct the bill. Overall, our experience was very disappointing, and we do not plan to return.

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
