"I hadn’t visited here for maybe 10 years but dropped by for a drink and a rest while out on a Sunday afternoon country walk. Pleased to see that the traditional frontage of the pub remains relatively unchanged, as does the small, attractive bar area. Only two ales on offer at the time but my Greene King IPA was good and the staff were friendly. For the past 15 years this place has focused upon being a gastropub rather than a locals’ place, but nevertheless it manages both reasonably well. In addition to the main restaurant at the back there is also a dining room off the bar area where dogs are allowed. The outside has been developed during the past two years into a very attractive, partially covered space. Will definitely return to try the food again."

Friendly warm pub. Reasonable selection of beverages fairly pricedI'm not an expert on ales but they have a Cask Marque so it must be good.

Called in at lunch time for a business meeting and meal. The lunch time menu is largely sandwiches, with a few standard pub grub dishes, we chose fish and

Really lovely food. The friendliest bar staff I've met this summer. They offer a great mini pud and hot drink. My friend has the mini brownie and I had the smidgen of cheese

Sunday lunch with Mum! 1st visit to the White horse and we will be back after enjoying the unrushed and friendly service from our waitress Rosie and delicious Sunday roast and dessert! Highly recommended! View menu

Been a few times but the first for Sunday Lunch outside under the canopy on a hot day. Excellent friendly service and nice pork lunch followed by pavlova . Constructive personal opinion would be more veg, possibly red cabbage or cauliflower but enjoyed the meal and the ambience .

Great location, setting and decor. The Sunday roast alas was slightly disappointing. I had the shoulder of lamb, which consisted of one slice, three leather skinned roast potatoes, a crispy yorkshire pudding with a small sprinkling of veg. Service was fine, although when we asked for the bill we never saw our waitress again and had to ask another. Shame. View menu

Parking is terrible here, not necessarily the venues fault but people think it's OK to take up 3 spaces when space is limited, staff were nice and helpful, roast was nice but only 2 slices of meat! Not work nearly £20! Deserts took ages to arrive then we were told one wasn't available after we had waited ages! The deserts were removed from the bill which was welcomed but not good to make us sit and wait and then tell us! Probably won't go back as other places to try

Went with 2 friends on the 2nd June. Of the 3 drinks we ordered all were unavailable together with 2 of our second choices. Then 2 of the mains were unavailable. This was the beginning of a long jubilee weekend so heaven knows how they survived for the following 4 days! Whilst they food was very good when it arrived; of the 3 waiting staff who spoke to us, we found 2 were abrupt and one of these was quite rude (the young lady was very helpful and attentive though so top marks to her). Probably wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others as there are better available in the area.
