Good friendly staff nice grub and a good beer nice outside to sit when it stops raining What more can you ask, lovely place for a metal and for a drink

Had a midweek lunch which was delicious. Friendly staff who made you feel very welcome. Menu was varied and catered for most people I’d say. Thanks guys!

Absolutely lovely lasagne- nice and hot and very tasty. Excellent service from Anna at the bar and Lisa, our waitress. Very attentive and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Made to feel very welcome and valued as a customer. Will be returning soon.

Can't go wrong here. Extensive menu with so much choice and every dish we've had here has been excellent. Particularly enjoy fish, scampi, sea bass and gammon on this visit with chips and nicely cooked vegetables sauces. Chips are risp beautifully cooked and what we like about White House is good friendly service. Also have excellent range of drinks.

Always consistent food . Lisa , our table server , SO friendly , happy to see you , always pleasant. Makes the experience a happy one . I visit with different friends , sometimes may only be two rising to six . The photos and decor very pleasing , and the flickering fire much appreciated , especially on a cold and wet day like today . Looking forward to my next visit Lisa .! View menu

After finding that over 5 items on the main menu were unavailable, we were disappointed to discover there was no sour cream dip for our bland mushroom starter. The limited options for mains seemed to be straight from the freezer, as the batter on the fish and chips was so overcooked it was hard to eat. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that we won't be returning to.

I swear I've just been drinking in Basil's Fawlty towers ! We came out for drinks and had the worst experience ever ! A surly barmaid I believe called Britney was the rudest and most uninterested bar maid I have ever come across. Stood at the end of the bar and ignored us for ages. She knew we were there but perhaps she was too busy on her phone to serve us !! Talk about the wrong person for the job. Come on White House, you can do so much better than this !!

Our visit to the White House on Friday is one of the few joys my elderly father gets to experience outside of the house. We are usually welcomed warmly by Anna and Lisa, but this time we were greeted by a blonde girl who seemed more interested in flirting with the other staff. Feeling ignored, we were about to leave until Lisa noticed us and promptly saved the day by getting my dad his beer. Five stars for Lisa, but the rest of the staff did not meet our expectations.
