"We had pre booked a table for 8. We were told not to be late as it would be a busy evening. For a large part, we were the only diners there. Food still took 45 min to arrive with plenty of swearing heard from the kitchen. Not great with 4 kids present. Eventually the food slowly came out with the first ones having finished their meal before the last food even came out. The steak was tough, the mussel sauce was bland and watery, the crab was just about defrosted with a few leaves, no radishes! Forgot our chips, that arrived when we had already finished, without salt. The kids meal was the whole of 4 chicken nuggets with some over salted chips in a soup bowl. Completely overpriced and most definitely won’t be back!!! Better get a take away."

Fantastic time on the Herston Trail. Landlady was top, great pub fantastic choice of beer. Lovely atmosphere would go back in a heartbeat, just to many good pubs.

If you want to have a welcoming atmosphere then go and see Zoe and her team. Drinks flowing, game of pool and some great conversation with the landlady. Pop in and have a great time, so glad we found this place... it made our holiday View menu

Disappointing visit with friends. Drinks were expensive and the food offering was very average. The steak baguette was fatty and tough. The baguette was closer to a medium size roll. The pub was cold and under staffed. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

It wasn’t as bad as some of the reviews but no local beers and the food was very much of the “freezer to fryer” variety. Very disappointing. We ate there because it was the first place that offered food without a wait which in hindsight should have been a warning. Great location though.

It gets a 1 because the beer was very much acceptable. The food however, less so. I’ve been viciously beaten before and that would be favourable to eating here again. The seafood ‘platter’ was a medley of ‘what Iceland had to offer’ the ‘nanas pasta would have more flavour had nanas ashes been used to season it as opposed to a tin of Heinz spaghetti. In their defence, the crab was ALMOST defrosted. The pie and mash was edible so thumbs up! View menu

Visited after a days walking expecting a great pint. Extremely rude barman, should have walked out then, persevered and ordered a larger and the guest beer, Isle of Purbeck brewery, Fossil Fuel. Should have been a good pint, but instead had a vinegar smell and sour taste, took back to bar and asked for a replacement, which was just as bad also barman dismissed me with a wave of his hand. Left without drinking beer!!!!! Reporting to brewery.

Quite a spacious pub with a small outside garden. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day but had to suffer cigarette smoke from others as the tables are quite close to each other. The outdoor garden is pretty much a drab concrete area, rather uninteresting. We ordered at the bar and paid by card, no receipt was provided. Our meals arrived within a reasonable time and did look good. The food was hot and freshly prepared, no complaints there. An average menu for an average pub.
