"insgefickt alexandra palace station this is a little quiet. extremely friendly, helpful staff and an impressive wut of cake and specialties. tey also do some hearty food sandwiches fritatas, and at midday some super healthy generously distributed salads. there are nice big tabs when they eat. the only thing that stops me giving them an excellent is the rotation of sandwiches / salates is limited to a fairly small repertoire and sometimes I wish they put something new on the menu. there are also no toilets, although frankly I don't know where I would put them in this beautiful intimate space. it is beautiful"

This is a small friendly coffee shop with lovely staff, amazing cakes and savoury pastries. Worth a visit before getting your train or if you pass by!

Waiting for a friend , we had a coffee and delicious almond croissant. They even managed a de-caf soy mocha for our vegan friend without raising an eyebrow. This is a tiny cafe but comfortable and warm, the staff were really friendly.

beautiful interieur, beautiful lady who served me and one of the best smoothies I ever had. I have a passion fruit / cuconut / mango smoothie and it was made fresh before me, amazing worth, 100% recommend a quick visit before her train!

Great little cafe with the yummiest beetroot salad in North London and friendly staff. Great for a quick coffee on the way to the train or for a lunch with friends (note they're not open on Sunday). Oh and don't forget to check out...the amazing cake that's displayed in the window area.

I regularly go here, especially after leaving the train. Perfect coffee and the staff are always so nice and welcoming. the smoothies are always a hit with my kumpels and we have a few vegan and vegetarian in our group. some of them are very picky, but we always find something for everyone.

The yard is amazing. Such a lovely family run business. Their food is amazing and all made fresh everyday. Their carrot and banana bread is to die for, lovely homemade sasuage rolls and to top it all their coffee is also fab. Pop in and...visit as you will become a regular customer guaranteed !! Gorgeous little café, worth turning up for your train half an hour early or even missing it! I had the vegetable frittata, which was fully loaded with roasted veg and feta, hands down the most delicious I've had, with the beetroot salad......scrumptious and great value...for the quality. Wish I had bought cake, the carrot and walnut looked sensational.

This sweet , cosy cafe is run by such a friendly family a mother and her six children plus their friends. The cakes are all home made and I have often enjoyed talking to the people running it or other customers who are just...sitting having coffee sharing a table . The cafe's so small that you can't help meeting new people each time you go! However if you don't want to be sociable that's fine too! I've often been and just read the news on my phone... I definitely recommend the food. I've now moved to east London and am returning to Ally Pally especially to meet a friend there!

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
