"If you think you are in Polynesia when you walk down the stairs into this awesome location then you might be right. The ambience and the friendly staff catch you from the moment of your arrival and overwhelm you with discrete but with high attention friendly service approach. The service is "compared with service standards in Munich" extremely professional and match with the expectations of international service oriented customers. The food is great and match expectations. You should also consider a stop at the Bar and enjoy great cocktails and professional Bartenders who love to serve you and who do this old school!!All in all this is my most favorite location since 1996"

Great service. Excellent cocktails. Superb food. The location is in a basement, but you feel like you are in Polynesia!!

Downstairs at the Bayericherhof hotel is a little slice of paradise in Munich. A classy tiki restaurant with great drinks and Polynesian food!

Very good restaurant. Big portions. Big prices too. Nice ambience. Good opportunity to have a break from the German food that you're probably having every day.

Fun to go with friends. Variety on the menu was more than enough and it was very difficult to choose ! You would need to go a few times to try different dishes for sure. Quality of food was very good and quite efficient service.

This was the 4th time that I was in this place. It is a nice place, but the customer experience overshadowed the stay. We were talking the entire time about how badly we were treated by the waiter and how the table next to us was also super unhappy about the service.

Have not been to a Trader Vic's for ages and this was like going down memory lane. The drinks menu has the same selections only I found they skimped on the alcohol - but he taste was still good. We had a good selection of appetizers for dinner which were delicious. It was nice to see that this "old timer" is still around and doing well.

I had always wanted to go to a Trader Vic's given its history and endurance as a brand. While staying at the Bayerischer Hof hotel, family and I attended for dinner. Service was very good. Menu selection is wide and varied. But the food was not correspondingly of high quality. Our food was very salty and the dishes we ordered all carried a similar taste.Disappointing.

We were staying at the hotel and after a dreary rainy day, we decided to go downstairs (drawn by the exotic aromas) to check it out. Sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to Nigel. Had some rum cocktails and appetizers and a few other really good munchies. Was nice to see the regulars come in, meet their friends and be greeted by the host by name and order their favorite cocktails. Very warm cozy atmosphere.

Oh my. Dust off the blowfish and try to infuse some life back into this sticky, tired old spot. It used to be such a kick - but WHAT HAPPENED? The cocktails were u undrinkable -(Gimlet and whiskey sour) with sweet, off the shelf mixers in sticky glasses with crusty garnish. So...we switched to champagne but...they didn't have any! Said it would take a moment to round up a bottle...10 minutes later we paid (26 euro) and said aloha to Trader Vics. Come on guys. This is the Bayerischer Hof -not the Hofbräuhaus.

"my man and I were in a few for a family birthday party. we had some time for us and took public transportation to visit schloss nymphenburg, which was a wonderful excursion also on a windy, wintery afternoon. not quite ready to return to the house...we googled Italian restaurants near me. the one we visited first did not take any plastic. the second location was solo italia. it was a Friday night and the place jumped around 19 o'clock. we didn't even think we were making a reservation, and everyone was taken table. no problem, we could order the cash. it followed several hours of relaxation, delicious eating, weeping and atmosphere. we ordered the green salads that are large, fresh, and most welcome after days very little green on our tellers. pasta bolognese and spaghetti carbonara were excellent. we did not try out the pizzas, although they looked fantastic (and they produced, kept all waiting workers and our bar-tenders very busy to mante the many.) solo italia is a place that prices were much less than the fancier sites round, but the quality of the food was comparable. it was simply a funny, bouncing place. a scream from our barkeeper maurice d. he was very busy with the drinks orders, the semi-trailer pizza and in the regular good work. he still managed to be polite and attentive that we were sitting on his bar. very professional and personal. if they are on the look for a great Italian place outside the Munich city center (but easily reached by tram 25) try solo italia, they have a great time!"
