Trattoria da Carmelo

I found this place on yelp while we were in wurzburg and decided to try it. as it was on Friday, many places were closed in the city and happy.

Helpful staff, good food, handy to walk to river bank to enjoy pizza beer. Dining in looked good but not tried. Good alternative to eating at Maritim hotel!

Komme immer wieder gerne hierher, auch wenn es manchmal nur ein kleines Essen wird. Die Empfehlungen der Tageskarte sind sehr gut, man schmeckt den hausgemachten Charakter. Man fühlt sich wie in Italien. Sehr freundlicher Service. Leider manchmal sehr laut, und auch etwas eng.

this family-run restaurant is located in a quiet part of the old town, and eating is excellent. in summer, the seat outside is one of the most beautiful places. no traffic and stone roads. the specials are particularly recommended, the pasta al dente and the pizza...goods definitely worth a visit.

we found almost erroneously, we came to our hotel (maritim.) we went to dinner and returned the next day. after this 'next day' we had to go home, otherwise this would have been ours. carmelo is. a nice and easy-going restaurant with delicious food and extremely friendly service. we had a very good meal here. the waitress was great to translate the menu and when she did not know the name of the fish that was on the menu, she went to the kitchen and produced it for us to see. (it was seabass.) eat nicely cooked and the tiramisu was huge, so when they go for this pudding, make sure they share!

this restaurant was recommended by our hotel recipient. it is located in a quiet place next to a church, we had al fresco dinner here. when we told the waiting staff that we were vegetarian, they recommended a siciliana pizza. we had the insalata. mixed with the pizza and shared one dessert. very good quality food, location and service, highly recommend.

We liked our pizza, pasta, and salads so much on our first dinner at this restaurant , that we returned the next 2 nights for a great steak, seafood, and wonderful fish not to mention the sumptuous deserts. The restaurant is in a quiet courtyard...away from the bustle of the central square. There is an English menu, a delightful patio, attentive service, and personalized attention from Carmelo, who really knows how to cook! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 dinners here, and we're sorry that we only had 3 days in Wurzburg otherwise we would have returned for a 4th. night. We highly recommend this restaurant.
