"My husband and I truly enjoyed our Trattoria Nonno Pici experience and would highly recommend when in the Puglia region of Acaya/Vernole. We were staying close by at the Doubletree Acaya and although I was planning to go based on the amazing Trip Advisor reviews, our hotel also spoke very highly of this restaurant. You never know what you will experience when visiting new places, but you will be extremely happy with this restaurant choice when you enter. A small quaint little town close to the sea coast and Lecce. The outdoor garden space was charming, beautiful delightful reflecting the historical village it resides in. The service was very good and the food was authentic, fresh, tasty, and delicious. We appreciated every bite of every dish! The space was bustling and people were turned away without a reservation. Suggest making a reservation to secure your table. We started with an appetizer of various antipasto choices such as grilled zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, eggplant, cauliflower, each one better than the last. The potato croquettes, common in this region were divine. The toasted bread with bruschetta was incredible. The pasta was out of this world. A great variety of menu choices. We really enjoyed and hope to return on our next Puglia vacation. Delish!"

The food is delicious and the portions are big. I recommend Pezzetti di cavallo, monacelle, fiori di zucchine. Wine: go for Primitivo. Summertime: arrange your booking of the table ahead (at lunchtime if you would like to come for dinner).

Ci siamo recati su consiglio del ns Host qui a cena, a agosto non prendono prenotazioni, così ci hanno detto quindi arrivati alle nove, abbiamo atteso pazientemente il nostro turno, in quanto fuori pioveva...All'interno non ha molti tavoli, cucina molto casereccia, senza tanti fronzoli. Ampia scelte nel menù, piatti tipici salentini ma assenza di pesce. Abbiamo ordinato una parmigiana e un piatto di sagne con ricotta forte. Per secondo piatto il polpettone di spinaci e scamorza, e contorno di patate. Buono. Consiglio il posto se si vuole una cucina tipici casereccia. Servizio gentile e veloce. Conto modico 33 euro per due primi un secondo acqua.
