"For a lovely, welcoming and friendly pub that also make excellent cocktails The Travellers Friend is hard to beat. We also enjoyed returning for their Sunday Lunch which was excellent, one of the best we have had. Service professional and efficient, with very generous portions and everything cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend The Travellers Friend for drinks, cocktails and food. All the team here from chefs, bar and restaurant work incredibly hard and know their menus and are an absolute joy! We were all made to feel so welcome, this is going to become our local pub. Thank you."

Great Pub, great staff. My only issue is the sad lack of Low Alcohol/Alcohol Free beer. One lager. These days, you should also have at least one ale and maybe Guiness as well. So many of us can't/don't drink alcohol but still love pubs. Please get a better selection!

Had an early dinner here in between various things. Restaurant and bar were quite but it was 5pm mid week so to be expect. Good service, food really nice (hubby had fish and chips and the fish was enormous) and reasonably priced. First visit but would definitely go back View menu

We went to this restaurant for a birthday Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. They even gifted us a bottle of Prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced (we had 3 roast beef and fish and chips dishes) and the roast potatoes were the best! The restaurant was packed and had a great atmosphere. Well done to the staff for a great experience.

My first visit to this restaurant was as a guest at a private function. I always believe you can gauge the quality of a catering venue by checking out the cleanliness of the restroom. Unfortunately, the restroom for the function room upstairs had no lock, so I had to go downstairs. The cubicles were dirty with wet floors and none of the urinals were working. If this is indicative of the establishment's attitude towards hygiene and customer care, I would recommend staying far away. Make sure to wash your hands – I certainly did!
