"we live only 2 minutes from the traveling and during our 4 years in our house it has changed the hands so often. so much that we wrote it as a good pub and always went somewhere else. However, the new renter does a fantastic work and has injected the life into the place. the personal is very friendly and accommodating, they feel very welcome here. the food is also good, for pub duck it ticks the box. I am very fussy about a Sunday roast, but the vatertag roast got a massive thumb of me and my family!"

had lunch yesterday with walking friends. very friendly service, had beef and gammon served with 2 yorkshires, frying, flower cabbage and 2 other veg. all served cakes hot and fresh. the cakes were also good. great eating in a nice pub. definitely on our favorite list.

What a great pub. There food was outstanding, well presented and tasted amazing. The staff were so kind and thoughtful and the manager made time to come and have a chat. Family of 6 we were that had a grieving day yesterday were made to feel relaxed and chilled after saying goodbye to an auntie. I thankyou all for your kind caring hospitality. Keep it up guys.
