The welcome is not warm. The place is very noisy. The dishes are not all equal in taste. The quality price ratio is very average. But this is my opinion.

A nice meal quickly made, place, no problem! A perfect steak tartare, really sublime fries, nice salad, a frieze with bacon and well-made egg, all served in good mood. Bravo and thank you

Non c'è dubbio che il locale abbia il suo fascino: gli interni in legno sono belli.Ma il cibo è pessimo. Nella soupe a l'onion le cipolle erano bruciate e il magret de canard aveva un sapore sospetto, tanto che lo abbiamo lasciato nel piatto. L'unica cosa commestibile il puré di patate. Evitate questo posto.

Nous y avons mangé un pavé de thon bien trop salé; le maître d'hôtel nous a bien confirmé que c'était la marinade et que le chef allait changer pour les prochains clients; l'erreur est acceptable mais ce qui est surprenant c'est le manque total de geste commercial, pas meme un café offert pour un plat a 24 euros immangeable... étonnant!

Dans cet établissement mythique de Saint Germain, on est bien accueilli dans une décoration classée datant de la Belle Époque, fantastique ! Sourires et humour augurent d'un bon moment pour ce dîner.La suite sera tout aussi parisienne ! Les plats sont goûteux et généreux que ce soit viandes ou poissons. La quenelle sauce Nantua est une tuerie...Une Bonne carte des vins complète les menus de type brasserie qui réjouiront touristes américains ou Français.Attention cependant au service, aimable mais un peu précipité...En bref, un endroit où nous reviendrons avec plaisir, Merci à tous. We did not have a good experience at this restaurant. Whilst the good was sub par and just scraping above average the service was absolutely terrible. When we sat down my table only had knives. I waited to see how long it would take for the waiter to notice. Whilst waiting I noticed the knife still has food on it, it was not washed before it was placed in the dishwasher and therefore the food was cooked to the knife. I kindly asked for a fork to which he scoffed and than went and took one off another table to which that fork was also dirty. The brasserie is a traditional establishment of the same style as cafe flore, les deux magots and brasserie lipp but is a few metres further up boulevatd st germain so is less packed and has less cachet. However the building is delightful in all its belle epoque glory.Prices are a euro or two less than the famous 3 but quality of food and service is comparable. It is still a small non chain establishment and sticks to the good french tradition of closing in summer so staff can have a proper family holiday long may it continue.Food was as one would expect at this pricepoint and in this type of location freshly cooked and nicely presented. I chose this based on a recommendation of a French acquaintance who comes to Paris yearly as well as much research. It was to be the final dinner with our family before my husband and I flew back to the states so I wanted it to be a special restaurant where we could all dress up and have a 'fancy' French meal!
