Vatersay Community Hall Cafe

A lovely cafe with gorgeous cakes. They also had some gluten free options but not as many as usual as they were soon to be closing for the season. A lovely stop after our cycle from Castlebay.

This restaurant is located at a beautiful beach and is well-kept and clean. The lunch options are very good and they have a wide variety of fresh cakes to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place.

A lovely spot for a cafe; 5 of us went for lunch before a beach walk: delicious soup with generous portions of chips on the side, followed by good quality coffee. Very friendly and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend. View menu

We were pleasantly surprised to discover this cafe in a remote location, as there are few on the islands. The tea was excellent and served in a large pot with hot water. The cakes were incredibly delicious. The outdoor tables offered stunning views.

A very pleasant experience. We were served very quickly and a large choice of cakes. There was also a gluten-free option for me, a hearty fruit flapjack. After that, my wife went for a swim at the buttock beach just opposite. Great place to enjoy with the whole family! View menu

So good we went twice! First time for cooked lunch. Not a huge range, but a lot of gluten-free options and big portions. Second time was to try the amazing cakes. Looks like they always have at least a couple of GF options (my wife LOVED the GF lemon drizzle cake). Great views and a good location from which to explore Vatersay.

Visited for lunch when out cycling. Wow so glad we did. Staff very friendly. Enjoyed some tasty panini’s with chips and cheese but the best part was the home made cakes. Generous portions and good value for money. Busy wee place but service was quick and efficient and very welcoming. The beach across the way also lovely for a walk or swim.

Lovely community cafe with tea, coffee and cakes as well as light lunches. We went twice in beautiful sun and terrible rain and it was perfect both times. There is also a public toilet on site and the beach is very close by. The hours online were not obvious by the two occasions we went it seemed to be open from about 11 until the afternoon. View menu
