"Easter lunch with friends. we were pleasantly surprised to find a very nice environment, managed by owners and passionate about their work. the dishes we chose were all great. artichoke with pecorino cream, fresh egg, plin, rigatoni con sugo que avacra, risotto, the cut. all excellently cooked and presented. the wine card is well supplied and offers a wide choice both of quality and of prices, the staff is however very helpful to advise demonstrating to know also very well the companies that it proposes in the newspaper. special mention also to desserts, in short, a small place that we will definitely have to return to the area. thank you for pampering us"

"Driving towards Varese we stopped for dinner at this Osteria. The restaurant has a cinema theme with lots of pictures of film stars adorning the walls and is popular with locals. For dinner we started with a selection of antipasti and a Grumello wine. Then for our main course we had various plates to share, consisting of veal, braised beef, risotto, polenta, amongst others. The Ghemme wine was excellent. Overall, an enjoyable dinner with a great group of friends."

"Let me say it in advance: this review is mainly for tourists. I'm pretty sure locals know enough about Ristorante Teatro from its long celebrated history as one of the most classy and refined culinary tradition in Varese. Ristorante Teatro is the right place if you are looking for an elegant, yet tastefully informal place where to get dinner in the historical downtown of Varese. I visit Italy once a year and each time, if I have a chance, I stop there for dinner with family. My favorite is the spaghetti all'astice, one of the dishes Ristorante Teatro is famous for. Last time I've been there I also enjoyed il polpo ..but I can't recall the name of the recipe it was served with.. . Let the owner suggest you about the wine: I had one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon I've ever had a chance to taste in my entire life. Let me say it was served a bit too cold but that didn't affect the experience at all. During the summer the outside patio is the best way to enjoy the location as far as it's not raining ...as it happened to us.. . The quality of food, wine and service are worth every single penny, if not more, you pay for. You won't regret your experience there."
