"We spent two great evenings in this place. There is a huge selection of beer and whiskey. The host advises here with competence. The food is very tasty and is made by the host with heart blood. The innkeepers have a great humour and lead their place with passion. We felt comfortable here right away. If we are back in Monschau for the next time, we will definitely return to VAT 60."

"A group of ten of us visited here whilst on a trip to watch the Spa Classic racing in Francorchamps in nearby Belgium. We picked this pub / restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews and they were spot on !We didn't manage to get a window seat overlooking the river as this place gets booked up quickly but everything else more than made up for it.The staff speak good English , were friendly , joining in the banter on different tables and the food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable each couple paying about €50 for main courses and a couple of drinks each and I can personally recommend the pasta ribbons with salmon and prawns.Would definitely come here again if in the vicinity!"

"Dreamy dishes, freshly prepared and often homemade, regional and seasonal. The mushroom burger was simply fantastic, the pizza Funghi with truffle oil and oyster mushrooms something special. Everything with very much love and detail. Also a greeting from the kitchen with Asian cut (self collected! Wild mushroom. I don't know what to do here any better.The operation is fast and friendly, cozy idyll right at the root. The next day we looked directly past and enjoyed the delicious Veggie Pulled Pork Burger and the 4-Käse pizza and even an ice bird are welcome."

"Very nice restaurant a real secret tip, a little off the edge of the village. Upholstered kitchen, various dishes Mediterranean Turkish. But also German and international. I liked the sauces to the meat dishes, either with Calvados, Vodka or Madeira. I can recommend you warmth. Open throughout, at least on Saturday. Very good price-performance ratio. Careful and friendly service."

"Made a reservation a few days ahead of time (via phone) and was lucky to be able to reserve a table (at 6PM on a Saturday night all that was available). First off, the restaurant itself is very cool. Love the wood-paneling on the...walls and ceilings. The location is literally on the water. Second, the Staff is very nice. Our waiter was fantastic. He really took care of us. Not everyone in my party spoke German, so he exercised great patience and translated for us. He also frequently checked-in on us, which is not typical of wait-staff services in Europe. Third, the food was excellent. From the beer to the main courses to the desserts all fantastic. Prices a little high, but expected given the location of the restaurant and the fact it's a nicer restaurant. Overall a truly outstanding experience. Definitely book ahead of time, especially during the Christmas market season."
