"we were in vietnam twice and have a pretty good idea how to taste the right Vietnamese food and how it is served. Vietnamese eating is always served with a friendly smile. the guest must feel welcome and appreciated. not at viet bowl! the two we know looked as gloomy as if they had secretly despised us. no nice feeling. the food came surprisingly fast. To be honest, it didn't cost badly. on the other side it did not taste like genuine Vietnamese food. the summer rolls were large and clumsy and where were the fresh crimped (e.g. mint leaves)? we had four appetizers (two types of summer rolls, a fried spring roll, a Papaya salad) and it was the same acid-sweet dressing with all four. the Papaya salad had been clogged with a kind of hot sauce. in vietnam come the famous bark soup pho bo always with a beside dish of fresh crumbles, swirling, bean sprouts and other fresh causes.) at viet bowl the phobo was served in a bowl with almost no crumbles, no bean sprouts, almost no crinkling or swirling. the suppe itself was not bad at all, but all in all our Vietnamese favorites was a great disappointment. if you have tasted Vietnamese food in Vietnam, please avoid viet bowl."
