"Vijay's is a hidden gem on an otherwise desolate road. You walk in and immediately there's a warm, cosy feel to the place making it seem a bit more like someone's home than a restaurant One of the best things about Vijay's is the extensive choice of curries available. Whether you fancy chicken, lamb, seafood or vegetarian curries, there's a whole range of different cooking styles and spice combinations awaiting you We ordered the onion bhajis and the samosas as a starter. The bhajis come in a kind of pancake form rather than the common balls' you see which was an interesting change it made the bhajis crispier. Personally I prefer the ball shaped ones but this flat bhaji was good...read more"

The grand total for all that food, a couple of small Cobras each and service was £28. A cracking local then, the food was all hot, fresh and flavoursome, great service and a congenial atmosphere. I’ll be back!

Brilliant. We live near to Vijay and absolutely love it. The food is the best i've ever had and the staff all lovely Having tried another indian over in Kensal Green and been very disappointed, I'll be returning and staying faithful to Vijays!

really, really love it. decor is nothing special, but the personal welcomes more than it makes for it. the menu has not changed in old, but it does not have to. eating is just great. try the masala dosa with sambar. highly recommended if they wish a good, decent, South Indian meal.

After a stay in london for some days, you begin to long for the berths and **** Indian food. we have ordered in this small restaurant diniert and idli, masala dosa, medu vada, dahi vada, sambhar, uttapam and leti. idlis were in your mouth melting', masala dosa and uttapam were good, but the vada was fried again, sambhar seemed to be from another country, sincehi vada had a lot of curry leaves but missed the ingwer. Coconut Cutney was fresh, but the pistol powder alien. service was good. we wish that eating was something more authentic.

take away from vijays. I've been a vijays customer for over 20 years. Yesterday I thought I would treat the family to a farewell from my fave Indian. we were all so disappointed! the prawn curry was unusable, the green beans were overboiled and tasteless. the chicken sanctuary also terrible. the only nice dish was the chana masala. I called her from my disappointed bug to say that the prawn curry should have a watery sauce. I told them it was really tasteless. the entire Indian eating experience is the amazing combination of aromen. I am English and my prawn curry is better to med, even if I first started to make it!. I said I would read more

"before visiting myself, I had called to book a table and demand a certain type of sitting space to meet our needs. the dame over the phone advised that she could not guarantee that a table, as the restaurant fills quickly. Although this can be their policy, I cannot understand the point of booking if they cannot meet the needs of their customers. the point of booking is to prepare the restaurant for the customers and their specifications. we booked. the caffe itself is on the street and parking can be something to be superior if they are not familiar with the opposite. I believe that the parking space next to the pavement on Sunday or the rest of the week after a certain time that I cannot remember is free. once ordered, the food came hot and the staff was nice and accommodating. but I and my friend both felt sick when we ate the sausages and felt bad all day. the sausages were 80 cattle and 20 chickens, as we said. perhaps the type of oil that was used or something else there was simply a strange after taste that was not paleable for both of us. the portions themselves are quite larger, enough to fill them. the restaurant itself was packed almost completely around a few hours into the opening, so it seems like a popular place. the tables themselves are not big, so we do not have much space to move around objects, although there is not much of an annoying for us to eat. the coffees were made according to my opinion quickly and to a good standard. I also ordered from this caffe in my house and the food came as it looked in person."
