"So just got back less then 24 hours ago. I am afraid to share a good review because the last thing I want is for this st tropez hidden gem to be exposed and then me no longer to get a reservation. Villa belrose remember this post when I try to book next year and it’s hard for me to get a reservation or I get priced out. This is my second year in a row staying here and it is truly my families happy place. So much of the staff had been around from the year before and all remembered our faces. Even treated us a little better because of it and made the villa feel like our home. It is less then 10 minutes from city center of st tropez and they have a shuttle to take you back and fourth. Everyone knows all the good hotels are outside of the city center anyway and it is not further then chateau de le messerdiere or anything great hotel. The pool is always just right, never too crowded, super kid friendly, and the views are unmatched by any other hotel. Then I bring it right back around again to the service. It was top notch, so much attention to deal and your needs. No running around trying to look for someone and fast responses and actions. All this was true last year but what even brought it up a notch was the renovated rooms- wow. "

always as pleasant and pleasant as the part of the hotel as the restaurant part with a new chef and a new card with Asian notes and full of flavors to discover! I come every year and it’s always a pleasure

a few remarks after our meal a few days ago at the club restaurant L’Indochina. we had come to the belrose villa years ago, and we have rediscovered with so much pleasure this breathtaking view of the bay of Saint-Tropez, which alone is worth visiting. the young team that has taken care of us throughout the experience is smiling and very kind. beautiful surprises in the plate, especially at the time of admissions, desserts and mignardises! the dishes (turbot for me) were less convincing, without it being redhibitory. the service is rusty, and would require rigorous management. wine glasses ordered at the time of the dish never arrived. It would be urgent for the establishment to find a defin...

"we had the 5 course menu, 1 normal, 1 vegetarian. the vegetarian was good but not up to the standard we experienced in similar establishments and not on the level of the non-vegetarian. waiters also did not mention it. it was just a small part on the bottom of the menu. we felt that's also about the appreciation it got from the chef. in our opinion, if u offer a vegetarian menu, it must be on an equal level as the rest of the menu. it wasn't (seems as if les légumes alone just are not much of an inspiration to the chef which clearly reflected in the courses). it wasn't bad but from a 3 star restaurant I expect fireworks even without meat; especially if the theme is provénce. the normal 5 course menu was good but the overuse of grapefruit started to annoy me after the second time 4 or so slices were used on my dish as it was way too sour, clearly overshadowing the other flavors and the note of sour even persisted through the coursesafter the palette refreshener which also contained some lemon notes came the dessert (kind of lemon tart) which was so sour that we both could not finish it. it was like a punch in the face after such perfectly and tastefully balanced 4 previous courses that explored familiar and unfamiliar flavor profiles and combinations (on a deserved 3 star level in my opinion - even though I missed obvious associations to la provénce). the rest of the desserts (which seemed to make up of 30%+ of the overall food volume; no idea why such an emphasis on sweet/sour for just a 5 course meal) couldn't help and were clearly on a much lower level as the rest of the food which was very disappointing to us. also, to be honest, lemon notes belong more to Italy than to the provence (google oops I dropped the lemon tart). all in all a mixed experience which started strong and gradually worsened. A bite into a lemon or grapefruit would have given me a purer taste of la provence if i wanted to explore the perfect sour note. service was excellent, excited and friendly. wine pairing good."
