"I go to a lot of events where I get to eat delicious food and drink amazing drinks, but what I particularly love doing is meeting the people behind these brands. A couple of weeks ago I headed to Village East on Bermondsey Street for a private dinner with the family who own and run Venezuelan rum brand, Ron Diplomatico. The evening started with one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. I don't know if it was that I wasn't expecting to actually like it as I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails (which I thought it would be), or that it was so unlike anything I've tried, but the almond daiquiri, made with Diplomatico Blanco rum, Orgeat (almond) syrup, fresh lime and Bob's Abbott's bitters...read more"

brilliant venue with excellent atmosphere! I would highly recommend visiting the village east in the vibrant east london district and just minutes away from modern galleries and exclusive shops! View menu

Great menu but sadly loses points on small details such as using plain, sliced toast bread (shop bought? instead of fresh sourdough, and slow and distracted service. Good on allowing dogs and babies

Sunday brunch was a tasty bite; my half portion eier and avocado benedict, with delicious chewing gum gluten-free toast went exceptionally well with some requested chili jam on the side. beautiful staff, very courteous and friendly.

village east is a great restaurant to go with friends to Brunch/Lunch, especially after checking out all the cool shops and the white cube on the trendy bermondsey street. eating is great as the service. I recommend the eggs benedict and the gurke mary! View menu

Lobster benedict!. Old English charm meets trendy industrial. The mismatched reclaimed furniture and attentive service reward you with a warm homely feel. With the half serving options I went with the lobster and eggs together with the cranberry granola and a shared serving of the berry compote and clotted cream buttermilk pancakes. Food coma! It was delicious!

drive south over the london bridge and drive to the most right where the established borough market and restaurant are located. in the did is the only reason to go left when they are a native and have the low down what happens to their pockets are full cash to visit the shard and it is exuborantly offered. my regular visits in the opposite have eaten me the new one. on another discovery trip in bermondsey and beyond we discovered village east. the place itself is very modern in its style with a hauch of industrialism. Leather-bound stands with natural wood tables are dotted around the area. the combination of two buildings, the village east (one of the listed camps...read more
