Villiers - Menu

The perfect stop on our way home from a hen do to get some vegetables in! A family style roast with perfect potatoes and red cabbage. I had to be rolled out! Highly recommend.

A warm welcome followed by great friendly service. Food was well executed and well presented. We had Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint. My thought , you would get better value if you just had mains and a desert.

Great tasting menu with paired wines Dukes special evening in the Tea rooms provided a fantastic 6 course tasting menu with the highlight of a duck dish that just melted and had tremendous flavour. Probably not where you'd think to go for burger and fries in town but both the standard and spicy burgers on the bar menu are really good. Fries are nice and crispy too. Great value considering this is a hotel restaurant. been a few times now and it's been great every time. Definitely need to eat over the plate though as its so juicy! Nice bar and restaurant with lovely staff.

A small group of us attended for our Work Christmas Lunch. The menu was good and covered everyone's dietary needs. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The food was average and not very warm, but that may be due to the fact the restaurant itself was cold and very drafty. We were the only guests eating so the service was quick. Hopefully they can survive in these difficult business times

Restaurant empty so no ambience. 2 or the 4 drinks ordered Coke Zero and diet were not available. Order 3 scallops at £14 each and received a ridiculously small portion you could barely make it the scallops as they were so small. Pâté was better value and my wife enjoyed it. Both roast beef were well over cooked and chewy. Plenty of veg and liked roasted carrots and parsnips. Service was good but overall experience poor so would not return or recommend. View menu

Had dinner here on a Sunday night. The restaurant was quite quiet but had been extremely busy for Sunday lunch we were told. The service was good though, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. We both chose the steak as the other options didn't really appeal a d we felt for us, there wasn't a great choice. However the steak was well worth it, beautifully tender, just the right portion size and I think the chips were the best I've ever tasted! A tad on the pricey side but certainly worth it.

My party of six gathered for a 1pm Sunday lunch yesterday to celebrate my brother's 60th birthday. Some of us were running late but the staff could not have been more amenable and understanding and at no point did we feel under pressure to hurry up. Our waitress Charlotte was both efficient and very funny, easily managing the banter and giving as well as she got. She genuinely seemed to enjoy her job and after half an hour or so, she almost felt one of the party. Amber, another member of staff was also lovely and very efficient as was Ryan the barman who we effectionally named Brian. What a find ! Passing through Buckingham on a business trip we stopped here for lunch. We were not disappointed with our choice. We ordered a Cajun chicken baguette and a smoked salmon and cream cheese baguette with a portion of fries and a couple of beers. The weather was good so we sat outside to the rear of the premises. The food was fresh, tasty and served with a smile by our server Charlotte. Charlotte delivered the most genuine and friendly customer service and was a credit to the business.
