Vinoteca - Menu

Nice modern English cooking and an extensive wine list. Mood setting in a chic Marylebone high street. One issue however is that the kitchen is open plan an attached to the restaurant, and a negative side effect of this is that you can hear every clatter of a pan and clinking of plates. Not great for intimacy.

The restaurant is warm and inviting, with a nice variety of wines to choose from. However, the food is lacking in flavor and is very ordinary. There isn't much of a selection that pairs well with the wine. It seems like the focus is on speed and convenience rather than creating dishes with great taste and quality.

Dined here on our final evening in London. Wine choice superb, food tasty and interesting, staff friendly and atmosphere vibrant. Tried a range of wines and small plates culminating in the offer of 3 dessert wines for £10 with our cheese board. Value for money for London was outstanding. Will definitely visit again. View menu

I brought my team here for our first lunch together in 18 months. Unfortunately, no matter what we ordered, we found the dishes to be cold, flavorless, and small in portion size (a main course of mussels should have more than 7, right?). The manager seemed indifferent to our complaints, so we have no plans to return. Never again.

It is the first review i have ever posted a review and usually good or bad, i don’t post a review. I went there to grab lunch, the food was terrible especially the gnocchis and the service appalling. The gnocchis were stodgy and huge and the bread dry. The waiter was not friendly at all. Won’t go back for sure and i don’t recommend the place.

If you are in the mood for a disappointing meal with subpar service in a location that lacks proper attention to cleanliness, then Vinoteca is the place for you. They even run out of bread before 6:45 pm. My dish (tasteless couscous) was served half cold from the fridge and half lukewarm from the microwave. I was thankful that they forgot to bring my side dish, even though it was included on the bill. View menu

We have been to this place a few times, the latest one was a disappointment. The service was very slow and for a restaurant that is focused on wine our waiter's knowledge was almost non-existent. Food was poor, my pork belly was dry and overcooked and the beans with it were hard and undercooked. We waited for at least 40 minutes between starters and main course. Looks like it will be the last time we visit.

So impressed with the vegetarian Sunday roast we had today at Vinoteca! It was one of the best I’ve had in London def the best nut roast (lovely and moist! crisp roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, colourful veg and delicious gravy (so good we had to ask for the recipe! Topped off with apple crumble and custard delicious! Really good intimate atmosphere ; Simon the chef is super friendly as well as being great at his job Highly recommended!

This has been one our favourite places for many many years now but we had a very disappointing evening here tonight. Sat at bar and once we ordered some wine and starters the service disappeared. Guy behind bar chatted to some girls at the bar non-stop ignoring everyone else and the waitress giving us our menus never came back so after 30 minutes trying to order more food and wine we gave up and asked for the bill (that took some time as we couldn’t get any attention). Did complain to one of the waitresses when we left but she didn’t seem to care. The combination of wine, taste food , cosy atmosphere and attentive service kept us coming back for years but guess we have to find somewhere else... View menu
