"The food served at this restaurant could not be more Valaisan - the cheese smell when you enter is so strong that you almost get knocked out of your shoes :) This means that the restaurant serves typical fondue, raclette, "kaeseschnitte" and - apparently a local specialty - cholera (pie with potato/cheese/bacon/apple/onion filing). The food is really good but extremely heavy - better order less or to share if you still want to stand up after eating. Service was friendly and prices are ok for Switzerland so overall a good place if you want to enjoy typical food of the region and gain a few pounds :)"

The plates were very tasty, but the portions of fondue were small. I think it could have more cheese. Service was kind but did not speak fluently either German or English

Great restaurant! Very friendly and helpful staff. The salad and fondue were incredible! Definitely recommend. They have an outdoor space in back that was great for a summer dinner. Highly recommend.

We had read a review on trip advisor and so went. It was a great evening if you want an authentic local food experience you won't find better. The staff were friendly and it was a most relaxing and enjoyable experience. View menu

My wife was keen to get an authentic Raclette and I remembered the Walliser Weinstube in Brig. It did not disappoint, they had Raclette, very reasonably priced, and together with one of their Meat Platter went down very well. I would heartily recommend them!

Spent time in Brig, Switzerland and went to this restaurant on our last night in Switzerland for supper. The best decision we made for supper this far on holiday. Warm atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. Food prepared with care and delivered quickly to our table....The portions are big and filling. If in Brig, this is the restaurant to go to.

Nice cosy cornery restaurant with the typical wooden swiss atmosphere.Owner was serving and she was very attentive and calm as all tables were filled.Had salads nice variation of greens, schnitzel for me and fondue for my wife. Both traditionally made and good taste. Large portions for sure.Enjoyed just sitting and talking.Easy place at swiss normal prices. View menu

The Valaisan food and wine were very good. The service was excellent and they offered us 5 dl wine, because the waitress who just started working there, accidentally ordered the wrong dish - which I ate anyway and was very good.Only critique: the atmosphere is not very cosy (it gets quiet loud in the restaurant with bigger groups since there are no sound absorbers whatsoever - no curtains, carpets, cushions...).

Dark wooden house that is favoured in Switzerland; especially in the Mountains. Thick wooden walls and small windows. The visitors are International, but, now and then comes a true mountain man in the Restaurant, as stout and brown as the building around him. Hands as big as a bears paws, he sits and looks and smiles; because, what he knows is, that the food here is First Class. It is a murderous journey to get here, but, every minute of it worth.
