"We enjoyed our lovely little boat ride over to the island of Kerrera for some lunch at the Waypoint Restaurant Bar and a great hike around the island. Our small lunch was GREAT and perfect for what we were planning for the day Our service was perfect and helpful they gave us a hiking map with a key that actually helped us quite a bit. The fish and chips were great and our views of the marina as well. Nice having bathrooms available as well and there were showers too Definitely a keeper and a hidden gem."

Excellent food, an undiscovered gem within a 10 minute boat ride from Oban. Relaxed atmosphere, we will definitely be back. If you are in Oban and looking for something a bit different this is well worth a try.

Had the best afternoon visiting Waypoint Restaurant, it was such a fabulous experience. Our lovely waitress went above and beyond considering it was super busy. So looking forward to going back, it's a wee hidden treasure. Veronica xxx View menu

had a perfect evening and eat from a very small menu with 3 choices burger, pizza or a great seafood cook. it was Saturday, so I suppose it was easy to keep it, how busy but overheard the next Turkish bot skalopps, lobster and steak we were hoping for. so they ask for the secret specials

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
