"A great place just 5 minutes from where we stayed in Lorton valley. Having just arrived at our cottage that evening we hadn't booked a table but the staff were fantastic in getting us seated. Our only negative, and it's a piffling one, is that because we didn't book, the table we were given was at the far end of the pub away from all the atmosphere. The beef ale pie with thick cut, crunchy chips was incredible. Definitely recommended. Very friendly staff, great selection of ales (go for the Cumberland if, like me, you enjoy blonde ale) and seriously good food."

Lovely quiet pub with a fab beer tap line up (anywhere with Neck Oil and Moretti will get my seal of approval) and really tasty food. We had the Shin Beef and Beef Pie. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
