I had a great experience at this pub over Christmas. My daughter loved the breakfast with Santa, it was delightful. The food is consistently delicious and the portion sizes are great for the price. The staff are also very friendly. We always have a great time when we visit this pub.

We chose to have Christmas Dinner at the White Elephant this year, although we do not often use the pub we thought we would give it a try. There were two sittings available and we chose the earlier one. The greeting on arrival was very warm and welcoming and the staff throughout the whole day were perfect. There was no rushing us to eat, we we’re allowed to take our time and enjoy our food and drinks, in fact we stayed for hours! There was another table who seemed to want to eat faster, so maybe if you wanted a quick Xmas day dinner this wouldn’t have been for you but we loved it, and will be booking again next year.

Our group of 5 had pre-booked the 4 course Christmas Day menu. We paid a deposit and submitted our food orders weeks in advance. The staff were friendly and the pub has a nice atmosphere. Our overall experience was unfortunately very bad. We waited almost an hour for starters and then (due to some kitchen issue) we waited almost another 2 hours for the mains to arrive. The turkey portion was tiny. We'd had enough of waiting by this point so decided to skip dessert and just get the bill. The front of house staff did their best and were friendly and helpful throughout. Unfortunately we shall not be booking our Christmas meal here again.
