Tepid, overcooked Sunday roast and rude, aggressive chef we won’t be returning. Lots of other nice pubs in the area to choose from…

Our first visit here and we absolutely loved it. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was 1st class. The food was delicious and cooked fresh. Lovely and clean with beautiful views.

I went to this restaurant on Valentine's Day and they had a set menu. Two of us decided to order from the set menu, but the other two wanted to choose from the regular menu instead. The staff accommodated our request without any issue. The food was excellent despite it being a busy night. The two staff members working that night were very professional and friendly. I plan on returning for their quiz night and making this restaurant my new local spot.

We were staying at an Unplugged cabin and had a £10 voucher to use at The White Hart so we thought we would give it a go and were very pleasantly surprised. There was a great menu selection that went beyond your normal “pub” food. We were also excited to see they served cocktails! Then we were even more lucky to have stumbled upon their live music night where we moved out onto the terrace to enjoy the views music. The service was also excellent throughout View menu

This pub has a lovely garden with fabulous views and this was a big attraction for us as it’s also only 10 minutes drive from home. The first time we ate here which was when it had recently opened, after extensive refurbishment, it was super .. but the last two visits have been very disappointing, the staff are very friendly and attentive but the food is not as good and the pub needs a really good clean especially the restaurant carpet which was extremely dirty . Such a shame .. but we won’t be visiting this pub again.

The roast beef I was served at this restaurant was extremely tough, probably the toughest I've had in years. It took a while for me to flag down a waiter to address my dissatisfaction, and even then, I didn't receive a response until I had to call them over again. It seemed like the chef and waiter were not particularly concerned about my complaint, and I was not offered any compensation for my barely-touched meal. There was no check-ins during my meal, no focus on customer satisfaction, and no effort made to salvage the poor experience. The staff clearly need training in providing good service, and the management needs to step up. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

While we were visiting our friend who lives locally, she had booked us in at The White Hart for a late lunch, there were three of us. The weather was dire and although we had the best table in the house all we could see was the rain driving against the window. But never mind, the food and service made up for that! My wife and my friend both had fish and chips and they looked a proper treat when they were served, the fish were both huge, and apparently very tasty. I opted for a burger and that was very tasty too. If I was being a little picky I would say a side salad with the burger, I know there was some salad in the burger but it didnt half look lonely on a plate with just chips. Also, I do... View menu
