"beautiful country pub and eating laundry in a picturesque village in rural dorset. I had the beef, the mushroom and the aale with seasonal vegetables and bratkartoffeln. everything was really well cooked and the portion size is quite impressive. the waiting for eating can be a bit long to busy times, but the quality of food more than does on this and does not distract from the overall experience. the personal is friendly and welcoming and was very understanding despite our late arrival (two accidents on the a35, not ideal! . a wonderful experience all around. highly recommended. ps. ignore the bad reviews. there is nothing to complain about here. for those of you who have it, maybe another try. they will not be disappointed."

Fantastic sunday roast, a lovely pint and friendly service. Double yorkies, extra gravy by default, and an amazing cauliflower cheese. I can't fault it!

I doubt if there is a more friendlier pub in the South. The food was superb and so were the drinks. Such a shame we live so far from there, but next stay at Litton Lakes we will be frequent visitors

This is a lovely village pub, with very friendly staff. We were a group of six and had two meals here, both were excellent. Especially the Sunday Roast, we all thought it was one of the best we have had.

One of the best Sunday Roasts you'll ever have. The Landlord, Landlady Liz, Karen bar staff just so helpful friendly make pub atmoshere just a joy. The music events, Tuesday fresh Pizza evenings Tapas Cocktail event Friday Fish Chip night outstanding. Highly recommend.

Beautiful pub with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We booked a family dinner on Sunday for 20! The age ranged from 2 years to grandparents. The owners changed the tables so that we could all be together, the food was delicious and hot and drinks in the garden before was nice. I'm glad to come back soon.

Popped along to the pub last Saturday and they were super busy, but they were able to accommodate us when they had a free slot. We booked a table for.8pm but the kitchen had capacity earlier. We had the burgers which were fabulous and so happy that the staff were so welcoming. Would definitely visit when down that way again.
