"This is a pub with rooms and judged as that I don't see how you would find better. We had a lovely room (Rose) with a huge comfy bed, minibar, and excellent shower. WiFi in room is good too. Stairs up to rooms are very...steep and narrow and there are a few low beams so take care after a few drinks down below in the welcoming bar. Some good beers although choice is limited as is the gin collection, but that's a minor quibble. We ate linguine with chicken, fish and chips and chocolate trio dessert...all very good. Breakfast the next morning was great with excellent local meat and produce. John and Dawn were the best of hosts. I'd definitely recommend a stay here."

We could not have had a more pleasant reception for our visit for lunch on the occasion of my fathers birthday. The lunch was extremely tasty and we were given satisfaction in every way.

We had a lovely lunch with our family at this restaurant. Despite it being quiet (as it was midweek), we felt very welcomed and comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the grilled dishes! I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

I met up with some friends at this restaurant and we were all very impressed with the quality of both the food and service. We all decided to order the steak pie, which was absolutely delicious. And the chips were simply amazing - the best I've ever had!

Such a gem! Lovely staff especially Sharon who was a breath of fresh air; she was funny, kind and nothing was too much trouble. Ambiance was lovely with real fires and a homely feel. We spoke to the chef who obviously had a passion for...food and you could tell as the food was gorgeous

Called in here today after a long walk, initially just for a drink but stayed for Sunday lunch and it was outstanding. The owners were friendly, chatty and very helpful. So glad we found this gem of a place and will definitely go back again soon. Dog friendly, cosy, great food, highly recommend Steph, Matt Peaches

We visited mid-week and decided this would be a comfortable place to visit again. We went without booking hoping to eat on a Friday evening. We had a table by the log fire and enjoyed an excellent meal in an easy-going atmosphere. The pub was...busy with drinkers with some tables reserved. The staff were polite, helpful and attentive. We fully recommend this pub for its service and food quality.

I recently stayed one night at the White Horse and it was a fantastic little spot. The village is charming and the pub is wonderful. We dined here and had the steak pie, which was delicious with a generous portion size. The beer was also great, and there was a lot of local atmosphere with the friendly locals. Our bedroom was lovely with an en-suite bathroom and a fully-stocked mini bar. It was also very peaceful at night, making for a good night's sleep. The breakfast the next morning was abundant and delicious. I highly recommend this B&B, as the hosts were also very friendly.
