"I am gluten-free and based on previous Trip Advisor reviews, I decided to visit Whitmore+Jackson for breakfast/brunch with my 2-year-old and family. Upon arrival, the restaurant was fairly busy, but the waiter kindly guided us to our table and was pleasant. Although the menu hinted at gluten-free options, I double-checked with the staff and they provided me with reassurances for each item. The sausages and hashbrowns were not listed as gluten-free alternatives, but were actually gluten-free on all breakfast dishes. I informed the waitress about my dietary restrictions so the chef could be aware, as I always do even when ordering from a gluten-free menu. I thoroughly enjoyed my all-day breakfast with high-quality gluten-free bread. The prices were reasonable, totaling under £40 for four meals and drinks. I didn't inquire about a children's menu as my little one wanted a jacket potato, which was not clearly visible on the menu or suggested by the staff (which is typical in most cafes). Baby seats were available, although we no longer needed them. The seating in some areas, with high pews/benches in relation to the tables, was perfect for my child and other young diners we observed."

Breakfast was delicious but very expensive £17.90 for one breakfast and one cup of coffee. Food is of good quality though.

Lovely place with friendly, helpful staff. Dogs were allowed in and welcomed. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and came out really quickly.

We came here for Afternoon tea to celebrate our grandchildrens GCSE results and graduation from University. The food was excellent and they catered for one gluten free which was outstanding .

We enjoyed an excellent freshly cooked breakfast on a grey December day. A full English with tasty butchers sausages and bacon. Good coffee too! Friendly helpful service in nice surroundings with a sea view. View menu

Lovely lunch. We had the paninis great choice, nice fresh salad and coleslaw. Good portion. The milkshakes are awesome too! Very reasonable priced, didn't have to wait too long either! Would definitely recommend.

really nice atmosphere, good selection of food and great quality, presented well. The menu is available as gluten free and dairy free which is fantastic quality. We came back later for a coffee and cake and the selection was brilliant. Keep up the good work :

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our food arrived promptly and the portions were generous. There were some minor issues with our order (it wasn't quite correct) and the coffee didn't taste much like coffee, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. View menu

Husband and I were staying at the Premier Inn. Neither of us are fans of buffet breakfast so we walked to Whitmore and Jackson for brekky we’ve eaten here before so knew it was good. It’s also half the price of a PI breakfast, decent coffee. latte is lovely) and the food is hot, hot, hot and freshly cooked Absolutely no complaints at all and highly recommend if you’re in the area that this is where you go for a generous, good quality, hot breakfast

The food at this restaurant is delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. It was easily accessible for our parents with mobility issues, located right across from the disabled parking zone, which they appreciated. The all day breakfast and coffee were fantastic, and we highly recommend the ham salad bowl. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant is a great place to stop for a meal and a drink while exploring the island.

"I raved about this place in my last review but since then it appears to have changed. Firstly, I cant remember the chairs being so uncomfortable that they had 'scatter ' cushions for you to use if you needed to. Having had back surgery, they made it even worse for me, so did without them in the most uncomfortable chair ever. Now, to the main part of the review. The lovely cakes that I had raved about had disappeared to be replaced by a sorry looking load of bog standard cake. The poor girl who served us was nervous as it was her first day, we ordered pecan pie which came with cream, we asked if its pouring or thick, she had to ask, it was pouring so we asked if we could have ice cream instead, she had to ask. Anyway, we finally ordered our cake and coffee. When she brought the coffee, she spilled half of mine in the saucer and then asked if I wanted a different saucer....duh! she took the offending saucer and the spoon brought a saucer back, no extra serviette to wipe the bottom of the cup and NO SPOON! We were then served the cake and ice cream, which to be fair, was nice, until, halfway through I saw a hair on my friends plate, (she was not wearing her glasses). We knew instantly that it was not either of ours, I have shoulder length hair and her hair was in a bun! We called the poor young lady over and pointed it out, she asked if my friend wanted to change it...duh! Of course she did, she brought another and thankfully my friend shared it with me! The coffee was (flat white) was nice but after that catalogue of events I wont be going back. They do offer a range of snacks/lunches and people did seem to be enjoying them."
