Went there Saturday 3rd August and had lovely time with friends we were served bye Morgan who was lovely and knowledgeable

Special place with classic Welsh food. There is a lack of more vegetarian options with fewer calories, such as good salads.

Food was underwhelming, several items not available on the menu, men’s toilets were like the toilets at a football ground, staff to be fair looked exhausted it’s the worst kind of pub food

Positives, good sharing starter and beer garden. Negatives, food was cold, custard on puddings was cold, had to ask several times for menus, staff were more interested on using their phones.

Waited 20 mins for a drink then ordered a Beef Serloin Sunday lunch. Nicely presented but Beef was Red. Couldn’t cut or chew it. Complained and it was replaced with the same! I was offered Turkey instead.. couldn’t believe it when it tasted of Smoked Fish!! A friend on another table said the same so it wasn’t just me. View menu

Popped in for a dinner, helpful and friendly staff, a lot of main meals seemed too 'autumny ', so I picked 2 starters as a main and it was plenty for me as I don 't like massive meals. My boyfriend had mixed grill, mum seabass. Lots of seating, we picked outdoor space. Free parking for customers. Also got 15% of food bill using Blue light card as Green king pub chain gives discount

Visited for lunch. My husband and I each ordered a mushroom pie. Experience tells us that Greene King pies are good. However they contained almost no mushroom, just gravy. The crusts were also very hard. Half way through our meal the waiter came to ask how things were. To his credit, he offered to get replacement pies when we told him the problem. As we had limited time and half eaten our meals we declined replacement pies. This was below Greene King usual standards. Robert and Ian

Went to The Woodman with my family in April, and it was a fab experience. The food was absolutely marvellous – I had the seafood, and it was divine! Every bite was delicious. The service was great and very friendly. Despite being incredibly busy, the staff managed everything smoothly and efficiently. One unique feature that stood out was their fantastic dog friendly area indoors. They provided a help yourself shelf with blankets, treats, and water bowls for our doggo. I’ve never seen anything like it before – totally fab! Overall, The Woodman was excellent and we have been back again since. We’ll definitely be back again! View menu
