"This curry house is another great find. If you’re in the area, they have been established here since around 2003 and they gave the restaurant a full upgrade during the pandemic shutdown. The first thing that you will encounter is a lovely warm, welcome, and extensive menu, which, if I was to be a tiny bit picky, I would say needs to be slimmed down quite a bit. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly, he explained a number of the special dishes, so we made our selection, and as usual we overordered. Nonetheless, the food was good, I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 simply because, one or two of the dishes weren’t as fully flavoured as I was expecting. Parking: There is a council car park directly opposite, which is free after 6 pm."

"My family and I came here for my birthday. It was an excellent time with the service being exceptional. All the servers were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, although the curried parsnip soup whilst delicious was perhaps on the under-spiced side. The steak was perfectly cooked to my liking and had a delicious deep flavour. The chocolate bread and butter pudding topped off the meal wonderfully. We did visit on a Thursday and so it was fairly empty as we sat upstairs but the decor of local art was delightful. "We placed a food order and was given a delivery time of 45 mins. We rang after 90 minutes to be told that our pizzas were being prepared. Two hours and fifteen minutes later the food was delivered. The pizzas were greasy, the chicken fillets were cold and the three portions of chips were luke warm. All required reheating in our oven. The dips and coleslaw that we paid for were not delivered either. We have messaged La Vita but they have chosen to ignore my complaint. First and last time we will use this establishment."

"There's not much in the way of ambience here flatly lit with large windows looking out onto winter darkness so not a place for an intimate dinner. Some of our menu choices were good but the fish and chips were a big disappointment: grey probably pre frozen coley in a restaurant in a fishing village? The menu deliberately does not identify the fish... the chef needs to up his game in Aldeburgh."

"This wasn’t our first visit (the previous occasion was more positive than this) but this was really quite poor. Problem after problem, service was poor and just not very welcoming. Firstly, drinks weren’t available issues with draft, but then bottles weren’t available either. So there was a very limited selection of drinks on offer and the staff weren’t proactive in advising what was available. So it was request and receive a no! Secondly, the food was poor. The starters were shocking. Really quite bad. There was a bit of redemption from some of the mains, but we elected to not proceed with anything else as it wasn’t great. We had to wait ages for drinks and foods to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was practically empty and many staff present. Frequently there were 3 staff at the back of the room standing about chatting, but they weren’t attentive to our needs. They didn’t check around the room to see if guests required additional drinks or require plates clearing. They didn’t check to see how the food was and when we complained regarding a starter they simply didn’t know how to handle it. When the draft beer came back on there was no proactive behaviour in returning to the table and letting us know so that more drinks could be ordered. Drinks were poured in wrong glasses, plates were cleared whilst people were still eating and then not cleared when they needed to be! Simply put the staff working had no idea on what table service should be perhaps they had received no training which is a major failing when the restaurant is part of a hotel. It was not welcoming. The restaurant was freezing cold. The service was really very poor and the food disappointing. They also don’t take dogs which in Aldeburgh is a bit weird. There is plenty of space and the tables are large so they would not be in the way. We won’t be returning."
