"Who is in Oberammergau should have been in the magic dust. I was in the nineties already in the old restaurant and later with the family again here in the new ones. The absolute highlight is the host, who always comes to the guest room or directly to the table and performs his magic tricks. And we're not talking about any magic tricks from the magic box, this man has learned his craftsmanship and masters art like hardly any other. Really a highlight that you should not miss (no matter if with or without children). For me a must when I am in Oberammergau!"

You feel very comfortable here, you'll be greeted as if you've been here, right by you. At the table comes the host and makes little magic. We ordered Slayers. The carving was not panned was ok

Apart from the delicious food and the absolutely friendly service, the host is the absolute cracher. Despite hectic, he takes time to enchant his guests! His kind is just great. There should be more people from his variety!!!!

Very nice cozy restaurant, very friendly service, it is taken time to have a nice conversation too! The food was very delicious and the price-performance ratio is right! A special highlight are the small magic tricks of the host .A visit is worth it!

There is good food here, but it soon enters into the background due to the entertainment value of the enchanting boss of the house. If you want to eat well and talk well with magic eggs, here is right. The host is very nice to you, whether big or small guests......the house is absolutely recommended....

"Interesting that I would have to come all the way to Oberammagau to find great Mexican food in Germany. The Germans don't do spicy very well; schnitzel and bratwurst yes, spicy no. So I was skeptical when my wife wanted to go try El Puente because she wanted Mexican food. We've been to two places in Stuttgart, and both of them ranged from bad to on par with Taco Bell. The first thing that strikes you is the atmosphere. Very lively, great music (ranging from Tejano to other styles of Mexican music which I am unfamiliar with), and the decor is very interesting. I wouldn't say authentic, as authentic places in Mexico don't quite have their walls festooned with cattle skulls, serapes, and sombreros, it's understandable that they have to set the mood, given that the Alps are just around the corner. The food was great, well above what I expected. I had the Chili con Carne, and while this is usually a throwaway dish on the menu, I would say this should be a go-to menu item for anyone wanting a little spice in their life. Not overpowering spice, but it's enough to let you know that it's there. The fresh baked bread to dip into the Chili con Carne was also a great touch. My wife had the chicken enchiladas, which had a lot of flavor, the tortillas tasted very fresh, and the chicken was very tender. Overall, another place to put down in our books of regular places we will go when we are in Oberammagau (see my s'Wirsthaus review for another place)."
