"Ive been getting my Chinese takeaway from Zen for more than ten years now and, especially compared to the dismal offerings elsewhere in town, the food here is always colourful, tasty, fresh and delicious. Always perfectly prepared and they will even take requests within reason i always ask them to debone and shred the Crispy Duck (which is superb) for me, which they do without hesitation. Soups are great, especially the Hot Sour. Pancake rolls are enormous and packed with beansprouts, shrimp and Char Sui. The House Special Fried rice is a high point a large container of tasty rice under thick layer of Char Sui, beef, chicken, king prawns and mixed vegetables in a tasty sauce. Singapore chow mein is fragrant and slightly spicy, their Beef in Oyster Sauce is a perfect example of umami at work and that old classic, chicken chow mein, is still executed wonderfully, a balance of tender chicken, beansprouts (that still have a little crunch) and noodles, a hint of garlic and translucent, caramelised onions. I cant say enough good things about Zen possibly my favourite takeaway, ever. Oh...the staff are always consistently friendly, polite and keen to try to accomodate any requests you might have, although Nicholas is very missed! Edit please note that they don’t currently deliver, although they are affiliated to Ubereats and they currently only accept cash. There’s a cash machine in the corner shop a few doors up, if you get caught out, which is open until 8pm, I think."

Online and the menu said they opened at 4pm. We arrived at 4 and waited until 4:42. Nobody turned up. It was a Wednesday too so they should have been opened. If you have opening times. STICK TO THEM

always a fantastic meal. customers repeat. ive isst Chinese all over the country and this is one of the best takeaways I had! we order regularly for the office and will do 20-30 orders in a night! highly recommended!

The restaurant experience was very disappointing. We ordered chicken and beef curry, a beef curry, prawn toast, and two spring rolls. However, we received chicken and beef curry and a chicken curry instead. The prawn toast was extremely hard and we couldn't eat it, but the spring rolls were okay.

Busy little local Chinese takeaway! They only take cash so make sure you have some. Very reasonably priced and very tasty roast duck and lots of pancakes given! We also ordered the chicken with black bean sauce and a spring roll which was the biggest spring roll i’ve ever seen! Egg fried rice was decent as well as a chicken and mushroom curry. Not disappointing and would eat here again, pretty quick turnaround. Thank you!

fast service. eat smells fantastic. I came home and undeveloped. very nice. they enjoy the aromas and different colors in the Chinese kitchen. (hence with lemon) is and will always be my favorite. 4 star food evaluation at the front door. busy road and parking can sometimes be difficult. shop front could do with the improvement, pictures on google do not the food justity. a beautiful Chinese meal, with shop screening on place and face masks worn service customers. I'm back, thanks for a great dinner on Saturday.
