"Came here with high expectations of a lovely dinner following raves from friends, Liverpool ECHO and TripAdvisor reviews/ratings. Booking was easy over the phone. There is so much history here with the building and previously a private gentlemen's club. When we got there we were the only ones for dinner on this particular Saturday night. There was a private party of 20 in the private dining room. Laura was our hostess and she was friendly; a warm welcome on a winter night. We had the seasonal vegetable soup and minifish and chips as starters. And then the rump of beef as mains. Shared the dessert Bakewell tart with ice cream. My only criticism for the night was that the house rose wine, diet coke and specifically the tonic water (Schweppes) in the first vodka and tonic water were flat! Otherwise the night was enjoyable as we were the only customers and had all the attention."

We had an excellent meal. Good quality ingredients, well prepared. Hard to understand why it's so quiet on Saturday night. Service spot on. Good valuexwine too. What more do you need? Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. View menu

My family had a wedding here at the weekend and everything about it was just perfect from start to finish. Sue and Laura have been so helpful with all the planning, really responsive and so nice to talk to, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone really enjoyed the food, great service and all very reasonably priced. Highly Recommend!

Went for a meal with my husband with a voucher. Prosecco was lovely. Starters were fine. Mains of rib eye steak just ok. Chips tasted of old fat. The wine we chose was lovely but expensive. Service was great. Room was too bright. Tables and chairs not great for such a lovely space. Bar area cold and uninviting. Wouldn't go back paying full price. View menu

Have visited Ziba on many occasions and have always enjoyed the experience. As part of a group or a meal for two this is a beautiful experience. The restaurant is classy the waitress staff have a good knowledge of the food and the food and presentation itself is wonderful. The presentation of the food by the chef is pure class and a firm favourite with me, my family and friends. 10/10

Great old building partly and tastefully modernised restaurant. Grand is probably the best word. Terrific greeting and sat by window next to a radiator which was lovely and warm on a freezing night! The waitress was quite delightful and explained carefully the menu. Very calm and peaceful. The food was quite excellent. Dont expect a huge plateful like a Crown Carvery Its flavoursome dining and taste and presentation is important. The whole evening was an absolute delight in every respect. A great place for a good meal or a nice quiet drink in sumptuous surroundings. Really good.
