Zirbel Stube - Menu

Food was very good but the service was very slow. Only one waitress on staff for at least eight tables. Beer was a winter special and excellent. Wines were ok. Salad was also awesome.

Went there after a full day of hiking and no lunch. I was very hungry. I ordered the cordon-bleu. The meat was about twice the thickness of a normal order. With the potatoes and salad sides, I left totally full. The food was all good and a great value at the normal price for the order.

I visited Zirbel with my family twice to have dinner during our holiday in Garmisch. Our food was served fresh and it was really delicious. Other pluses of restaurantat are bar with great beer and also attentive staff. We visited Zirbel with my sister to have a dinner in and we were nicely surprised. The restaurant (bar) is cozy with friendly and attentive service. We did not have to wait for anything. We had steaks, which were delicious. It felt really comfortable and we will definitely come back as soon as we have a chance. You can see that the staff like what they do.

I visited Zirbel on a rainy Wednesday evening with a friend. You step through the door to be greater with a warm, cosy atmosphere. This small restaurant and bar ( more bar really) serves great food and has attentive staff. The music is fabulous and greatly adds to the experience. My steak was beautiful and cooked to perfection. I have already booked to go again.Highly recommended.

After being turned away from a few restaurants due to a holiday, we were so thankful to be greeted kindly by the Zirbel server. We were immediately offered English menus and we really enjoyed our table in the back. Zirbel had a great atmosphere, very quiet and cosy. Food was awesome, we had a few appetizers and we thought the dinner portions were great. Recommend the chicken schnitzel and pumpkin soup. We will definitely go back here! View menu

Our group came here on the recommendation of one our group that had been here before. Without reservations, the owner was polite and had us seated as quick as it took to walk to the back. Service as well as the food was excellent. The schnitzel was thumbs up by all who had. The pumpkin soup was amazing (I think it was seasonal). This seems like a local stube with their own regulars. Not as touristy as others. That gets a gold star in my book.

Great place, really. During my very short business trip in Garmisch-Partenkirchen I visited this place even twice, instead of researching tens of different places.This restaurant is absolutely cozy, excellent choice of steaks, perfect beer and wonderful service. Warm twilight atmosphere, nice music. Especially good if you are alone in Garmisch-Partenkirchen due to whatever reason. They have several nice single tables, hardly suitable for two. To sit there just comfortable, you do not look like an idiot occupying huge table in the middle of the large hall.

We've been to Zirbel (Die Musik Kneipe) many times over the years. Zuzana and Stephan have been running it for quite some time and they are completely focused on their customers. They offer a variety of local and popular beers and a menu with local, traditional fare, as well as a number of dishes more easily recognized by American tourists including beef entrees. Go once and you'll feel completely at home. Go a second time or more, and you're part of the family. Zuzana works the room while Stephan cooks up fresh, innovative dishes.
