"At the first visit there was only a simple guest room, and on the upper floor the pigeons flew out of the window. That was on our honeymoon. In the meantime, a lot has been done. The old host is a Bavarian traditional place with a large menu of Bavarian delicacies. From pork roast to acidic fertilizer, from Pressack to Obatzda. Open daily. Three cosy guest rooms, where you can also find real Bavaria, invite you to stay. There is also a large beer garden with many old chestnut trees. Although in Munich, it seems to be almost literally in the district of Obermenzing. Next door is the church with onion tower. Opposite a guest parking lot. This is an inn where we like to eat, because everyone finds something for themselves on the map, some Bavarian cosiness is still present, and prices for Munich are acceptable. The food portions are plentiful, only with the roasts you can see that they are long prepared, but that is not the other way, because there is no need to wait for a long time at the guest rank. I prefer to eat here the Bavarian bread times, which are arranged abundantly and lovingly on wooden boards. Recently I had a cheese plate that was so big that I could take a part home, the friendly service gladly brought me packing paper. Recommended, who wants to experience Bavarian flair, of which there is not much left in the centre. Update October 15 Now there is a star and a heart, as I was very happy again. Friendly, yet Bavarian, operation in the Dirndl, fleeting service, tasty mixed roasts with dumplings, tasty meat plant with potato salad, and cozy sitting among locals. So eating in Bavaria is fun."

Eat okay. Don't get the reserved room. Instead of 12 people, only for 11. Couldn't eat, so tight we were placed. Never a celebration at the Old Wirt again.

We have never experienced such an unfriendly waiter who has come to our table every time with a moaning and the eyes are twisted when we have ordered or asked. The cucumber 'salat's stock of planned cucumbers without dressing, salt or dill tips. We waited for the Brezn for 10 minutes. We're not going there anymore. View menu

A euro for nothing! My wife does not wear blue weeds without blue weeds. Well noted without replacement - not changed!! We have actually calculated a euro for a change in the supplement, although we have only dispensed with something!!! The waiters said that only the boss would have done this and you couldn't do it. Once and never again!!!

Was there at Maria Ascension had actually reserved a table for 3 people! But unfortunately you could not find our name at the entrance to the chain economy as embarrassing! They even did not ask where we want to sit, they placed us in the full sun, which was lukewarm and just a nausea. We had 2×sog. Pepper Steak was all from the finished pack ( sauce). The price ratio is simply not true, much too expensive and there are no Bavarians like breadboard or herbs at all.

I will never go there again and can only advise anyone to make an event there! For months in advance the large hall had booked for an event of the animal welfare association with 100-120 guides. At 10:00 a.m. the previous day we would call that we couldn't get in from 12 a.m. as booked. After negotiating on the phone, we were promised at least 2:00. When we arrived today at the Alte Wirt at 13:45 a.m., about 30-40 people were in the hall that had not even their food yet! We have now been explained that we could only be in the hall at the earliest at 3 p.m.! So set up with 100 people?! After long and very unfriendly discussions, we were allowed to build up at 2:15. Between the people still ea... View menu

Since our 2-year-old daughter ran immediately to the chute standing in the back, we were looking for a table next to us. It's really perfect because you're close to the kids. We waited 15 minutes and were not served. The beer garden was moderately visited and the numerous services have also seen us. After some time we got up to ask if we can order something. It was answered that in the rear part would not be served. Then we said that maybe someone could come to tell us this, as we were sitting there for a long time. Then it was answered that they would probably have to do better than they were constantly going to. According to this statement, we left the beer garden and will no longer come b...

Unfortunately also only a 3-star experience in this with oldest? Traditional guest house in Munich. Although several historical and well maintained guest rooms were tempted, with the best beer garden weather the generous, simple outdoor area under old trees even more. Although some authentic Bavarian delicacies are also offered in the extensive menu, e.g. spleen sausage, crown meat, fertilizer, the choice fell slightly original on shaded pig with dumplings and mixed salad 14,50 . This was also served satisfactorily by the friendly Monika at short notice, but besides a transparent plastic shear in my salad, which was still sharp-edged. The friendly Monika assured that there was no plastic at...

In Zahlen: Preis 50% rauf, Qualität 50% runter. Cheers, Joe"
